Are voidwalkers failing?
With the storm caller out and the nothing manacles brought down to a near useless exotic, do you feel like voidwalkers in pvp are going downhill? With the Titans and hunters going strong, I can't help but be a bit upset that my favorite class is getting washed away by the competition

I still use voidwalker because the other classes have a type of evade so I use blink to evade and the life steal melee really helps

7 RepliesI only run voidwalker in pvp now Amd i feel dirty as hell with the nothing manacles scatter grenades they are still absurdly good, especially in control ove gotten so many double and triple downs from tossing a nade blindly onto a control point And i run specced for max discipline so thats a new nade every 25 seconds.... Same with nova bomb gotten several slayers from bombing heavy or a control point at the right moment Plus its the only warlock class with a neutral play blink Yeah stormcaller is good for roaming and probably superior in clash but for control when you know where the enemy will group up oh bby voidwalker Plus stormcaller wont necessarily save you from a hammer or bladedancer *hammer pops* shut them the eff down with nova bomb you just saved your team VOIDWALKERRRRRRR

Voidwalker is much better than Stormcaller. Stormcaller has a garbage neutral game and a good super, but voidwalker are all around good. Best jump, best abilities for multikills, decent super

Nothing Manacles are still a beast and a powerhouse in the Crucible. Run it with Suros Regime and a sidearm, and you can make a serious dent in the enemy team.

Edited by Pippo: 1/6/2016 6:00:10 AMPlayed Voidwalker in Trials on the Burning Shrine map. With success. Axion bolt grenades + Bloom have a lot of potential. Add in Voidfang Vestments - and some well placed shots of course, those bolts won't kill alone - and you're good to go. Nova Bomb is great for shutting down roaming supers or to get double or triple kills. And contrary to Fist of Havoc, you can use it from quite a distance. As a Titan main, I really enjoy playing Warlock. It's my favorite class next to the Titan. Still playing around a little bit with perks and subclasses (in PvP). Radiant Skin Sunsinger with double fusions in regular crucible = lots of fun! I also need to play with Nothing Manacles and Scatter grenades again EDIT yep the nerf :(

Edited by Arman GT: 1/6/2016 6:55:13 AMvoidwalker can die to a stormcaller as the voidwalker is 100% hp, starts to cast nova bomb as he is getting zapped, and then still die to the stormcaller. That's not an effective super shutdown. Neither is it for stealing heavy unless you're fighting bad people who ignore their radar and sit on the heavy box. Got one reaper medal with it in an iron banner in year one, not sure how nobody looked at their friggen radar..

4 RepliesBungie is getting what they wanted. They made the year two subclasses OP then nerfed the year one subclasses (under the table) to encourage people to leave them behind. Soo with that in mind I seldom use the storm caller in pvp or pve. Just leave the Sith to the 11 year olds.

Stormcaller is my least- favorite subclass in the game. I hate using it, so I run Radiant Skin Sunsingers with burn Firebolts. It is so much better. I use Song of Flame for PvE though.

I absolutely love the super and those handy grenades. I actually like the way the super is right now. Yeah storm caller may be overused but Voidwalker remains one of the bests in pvp

I get killed all the time by Nova bomb. Even when it completely misses me, I still die. And they screwed golden gun because the symbiote drains the super so fast that you may get two shots off, sometimes three, but rarely four. Bladedancer hit detection sucks. HoS is easily dodged. Seems that warlocks are the only class with two unavoidable supers.

It's really screwed up how voidwalker have just been left in a ditch so far this year. It'll take more than the astrocyte verse and the ophidian aspect to save the class
