F*CKING. SUNBREAKERS!!!

Ahem. Now that I have your attention, why do hammers have like, NO blast radius? Like none? Pretty much a shittier Golden Gun. Does this not bother others? And can we have a little blast radius buff? A LITTLE one? Edit 1: A lot of people seem to be insulting my aim. What you don't realize is that I main a Bladedancer and feel as if some hammers should've killed me.

    • To me HoS seems to be balanced pretty well I'm PvP. I usually play striker but whenever I decide to go sun breaker I seem to at least get 2-3+ kills when I pop my super and I'm not even good with it. Sure it's easier to be shut down, but it was so overpowered before you could just run into the centre of the map and throw hammers and still be effective. Now you actually have to be smart when you use it, just like every other roaming super.

      • Crazy how a sunsigner with max armor/ram/solar chest piece/radiant skin is more of a tank. Yesterday in iron banner I took a gg to the face and still had some health left lol. [spoiler]I than threw a fusion grenade to kill the hunter who shot me.[/spoiler]

        • Ya sunbreakers are bad now. Evading them has become pretty easy. When you make a super based sunclass and you nerf the super the subclass then becomes trash. Defenders and strikers are much better right now.

              • Hammers are still really good, I was rolling with it yesterday in iron banner. I don't know about the blast radius but I had a few wtf moments where I hit people right in the face and they lived with like half health. Idk what that's about.

                  • So you think it should have impact, lingering flare and blast radius? That's a bit much don't you think? He already recharges as long as the user is actually moves. I see them work a lot like my sunsinger but heavier and with impact. My solar grenades just kinda melt and I can't take the same punishment I see them take. The ones I see die fast or not be very effective is when they use it randomly to chase someone around. The ones I hate the most time theirs to the heavy ammo drops/control zones/salvage relic/etc. Anywhere you can light it up right before you get there and start throwing at a crowd.if you don't kill them the lingering fire will disperse them.

                  • 3 sec cooldown on health regen. 2.5% increase to blast radius. 3.8% increase to armor. Problem solved

                              It's pretty ridiculous how small the blast radius is. Damage resistance nerf was enough.

                              • The sunbreaker nerf was perfect. It brought it in line with other supers. Bungie nerfed it right, but not smart. The blast radius is fine. Now you can't throw hammers anywhere and hope for kills. The problem now is that the proximity detonation triggers when the hammers are still too far away from the target for the blast radius to register any damage. They should keep everything as it is, only revert the blast radius back to what it was on proximity detonated hammers

                                • I used a Sunbreaker, still do for matches like Rumble or Clash where I can run around and just smack things, just to put that out there. But if you want to compare it to Goldun Gun, where they have at most 4 shots with the use of an exotic and less time or 3 with normal use, we have a good 5-7 hammers to lob off. With or without the perk to max out our hammers, we have nearly double their shots. With that many shots, you SHOULD be able to get kills, and don't say that it can't be your aim that is the problem. And here I'll list two ways to use Sunbreaker, one thats used less but adaptable, and a completely differnet strategy: -Use it close up, no way you can miss a direct hit if they're yards away. Direct hits are still one shot, so wipe em out before they kill you. -Max out Discipline and Strength, use the perk Simmering Flames. With max discipline, grenades are 25 seconds to charge. Add Simmering Flames and it cuts down charge time to 12.5 seconds. Top it off with Armamentarium and you are a walking grenade launcher. I max out Strength just cause a bunch of my armor gives me more grenade energy per melee hit.

                                  • They rarely get more than one kill before getting decimated. I do a little golf clap IRL every time I see one get more than a single kill.
