Stormcaller (using landfall)
- can activate in the air and it immediately kills anyone above or below you.
- blinds enemies
-landfall pops titan bubbles at no cost to super energy(yes the perk must be selected but theres an exotic so you can double dip in the perk tree)
- you get to roam for 20+ seconds after
- longest melee range in game gets extended even further
- can use blink and landfall with exotic
-50% damage resistance
Fist of Havoc
-can be activated in the air, but doesnt do damage until you hit the ground
-can also pop titan bubble but at the cost of the entire super with nothing left after.
- shortest melee in the game(but it does more damage than a regular melee and titans can spec for shoulder charge)
-unstoppable will provide +2 armor making it very difficult to die for about a 3 second animation.
-foh is often a suicide mission because after the super there is a standing up animation where anyone you missed can easily shoot you down.
So stormcaller is a slightly less powerful fist of havoc that blinds enemies and pops titan bubbles (at no cost to their super) then has 18-24 seconds to roam around after.
PLEASE explain how this is balanced
Quick comparison of super kill potential
Golden gun - 3 in an ideal scenario, 4 rarely
Arc blade - 2-3, 4-5+ in rare cases
Shadowshot - 1-2, 3-4 in rare cases
Foh - 1-2 (rarely can be 4+)
Bubble - n/a
Hammers - 2-3 average, 4-5 rarely
Nova bomb - 1-2 (same as foh)
Sunsinger - 1-2 (more depending on player skill)
Stormtrance - 3-4 average, 5+ in an ideal scenario (landfall can net 2+ kills, pop bubbles and set up a few more with damaged and blinded enemies. Then 18-24 seconds to roam and get another 3+)
Let me ask you this, how many times has a stormcaller killed you twice in the same super? I cant count the number of times it's happened to me.
Yet I dont think ive ever been killed by the same golden gun, arc blade, sunsinger etc...
-Imo the damage of landfall should be reduced and the blinding effect increased. It shouldn't be getting triple kills, it should set up triple kills.
-The duration with transcendence should be reduced, it does regen health AND increase super duration.(sunsingers have a perk that only increases super duration and it isnt nearly as effective)
-Melee range with the range increasing perk should be reduced SLIGHTLY.

6 RepliesEdited by ceezyszn: 1/12/2016 5:43:19 AMYou're comparing a roaming super to a one that is meant to be used for one general area.

1 ReplyEither buff sunbreaker back to its former self but with less Damage reduction, or nerf stormcaller... To shit
-
10 RepliesWow... you don't play hunters do you?
-
5 RepliesLandfall only kills targets directly below you, has a much smaller blast radius then FoH. Doesn't do as much damage a FoH. Stormtrance can pop a bubble but will not kill anyone in the bubble until you actually find a target. Stormtrance is easy to kill. Strikers have the most armor in the game.

7 RepliesRemember when hammer was better than storm trance oh yeah it still is

3 RepliesEdited by Judge_Rhymehold: 1/12/2016 12:11:56 PMLandfall doesn't kill what's above you. It shoots a bolt of lightning into the ground beneath you. Also should mention; to get 20+ seconds to roam, you gotta sacrifice grenades and melees. But why would people list the cons. Typically people just base all these of mayhem where transcendence procs every time due to quick recharge rates. And quit spamming the respawn button maybe?

2 RepliesThen stormtrance gets 1 shoted by foh

1 ReplyWhether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Nerf Herders on Bungie.net. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. YeBlunts. From what I can gather, he commands the Scrub Dancers from an Imperial PC just inside of his mother's basement. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, kick this loser in the nuts and break their grip on Nerfing Destiny more.

I have been killed by the same golden gun, hammer titan. Its not the super. Its where you spawned. Bungo plez

3 RepliesHave you ever tried, you know, looking at them and shooting them with at least one other teammate? You should try it sometime, it works pretty much every damn time.

I can see how people feel that it's a problem in the 6v6 playlists. In any other PvP playlist, it's whatever.

I love how are the rols are turned, warlok are now "our super is balanced git gud scrub'" titans cry "nerf" and the hunters laugth while tehir super still dominates (blade dancer super are still a beast killing machine )

1 ReplyDude, landfall can kill one if you are lucky, and you can easily take a stormcaller out during the roaming period.

4 RepliesI leave the forums for a few months and now the community in crying to nerf stormtrace. I don't recall people throwing a fit about it when HoS was being bitched about. And when the cry babies get stormtrance nerfed, they'll move onto the next "op" class without missing a beat. They won't be happy until all supers are dance emotes and the crucible becomes one big So You Think You Can Dance? episode. Then whine about Bungie nerfing everything
-
I have no problem with either and play with both. Striker is more fun imo.
-
Let's be honest you don't need to make anymore posts about this. Everyone knows sc is getting nerfed wether more people complain or not. It's getting nerfed. And be ready for striker to nerfed after because I'm sure just like this there will be many others after who posts on stats on how foh is op next
-
Warlocks: enjoy stormcaller while you still can. It's going to get nerfed.
-
1 ReplyIt is balanced because hunters get killed by fist of havoc occasionally.

9 RepliesEdited by Misfit Romance: 1/12/2016 4:35:31 AMYou know what's funny? The Grimoire for Stormtrance reads: "...Striking down anything too slow escape the storm" The actual Grimoire description is missing the second "to".

I just hate their freaking melee range

17 RepliesEdited by C-Sentinel: 1/11/2016 9:08:58 PMARE YOU -blam!-ING RETARDED. DID YOU ACTUALLY JUST COMPARE STORMCALLER TO FIST OF HAVOC. Ok now. Let's compare Stormtrance to supers that IT CAN ACTUALLY BE COMPARED TO. 1. The duration, is a little too long WITH TRANSCENDENCE. WITHOUT it's shorter than both sunbreaker and bladedancer. If anything it should be reduced to 22 seconds at most. 2. Landfall IS PERFECTLY FINE. Let's say I'm a bladedancer in a tight space, there's an unidentified enemy near me with a shotgun, and activate my super. All I have to do is spam the blade until the aim assist drags me towards the target. Let's say I'm a sunbreaker in the same situation. All I have to do is smash my hammer on the wall or ground, and any threats will be eliminated. Now let's say I'm a stormcaller, and I DON'T spec for landfall. Not only do I have to LOOK for my target since there is no aim assistance or splash damge, they also have about half a second to kill me after I begin damage application because stormcaller has Time to Kill, unlike bladedancer or sunbreaker, which are both one hit kills. Within this time is probably around 3 seconds. More than enough to easily shotgun the warlock. Landfall is meant to be a counter. Warlocks have the SLOWEST moving jump in the game. If a warlock managed to get above you before you could kill them, that's due to your own ability to manage your surroundings. Landfall is perfectly fine

2 RepliesWhen I read the title Striker vs storm caller I thought of foh and land fall activating at the same time and the warlock dying and the Titan walks away with 95 percent health.
