It's absolutely stupid.
This game glitches far too often, and it doesn't make the game anymore different, just 1000x more tedious.
If one stupid little thing happens and 1 person dies it's a -blam!-in wipe.
That doesn't display a teams ability to work together, rather it frustrates people.
And it sucks the fun right out of the game
-blam!- this shit

I mean, why should there be a challenging factor in hard mode, right?

It was here since vault..

Edited by xXFlameOfAnorXx: 1/1/2016 1:22:11 AMLol 'That knight glitch boomed me' 'I didn't jump off the map I glitched into a hole' 'Oryx glitched over and ate me' ....Please keep no revives. It means I wont ever have to add the above to the growing list of BS glitches that apparently happen in this game. 'The platform glitched' 'I ran through the relic' Blah blah blah Everyone dies, I die. Get over it and grind on.
My Grandfather smoked his whole life. I was about 10 years old when my mother said to him, 'If you ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you have to stop immediately.'. Tears welled up in his eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake. He gave it up immediately. Three years later he died of lung cancer. It was really sad and destroyed me. My mother said to me- 'Don't ever smoke. Please don't put your family through what your Grandfather put us through." I agreed. At 28, I have never touched a cigarette. I must say, I feel a very slight sense of regret for never having done it, because your post gave me cancer anyway.
But that's what makes it hard... I mean there is some added mechanics over normal ....some But it really isn't that much harder than normal Except for the lack of revive. Yes it sucks having almost killed oryx then Having to wipe. But the added level of making sure you are spot on the entire time makes it hard mode Yes there are glitches and shit and that is SUPER annoying. But taking away the no revives isn't the answer.
-
Yeah but it's been that way since VoG and there was always glitches. So just gotta wipe and keep running.
-
3 RepliesAre you year 2? Trust me, it's not that bad. if you're a warlock and you're good, you can run self rez for safety. And to anybody who says you're bad bc of it, they're wrong - everyone dies now and then.
-
I agree its rather harsh. And I'm rather disappointed that people here would so quickly and blindly defend it. For a game that has so many glitches with it, its INSANE to say 0 revives. Even world of Warcraft dosent do that (unless you PURPOSELY bring 0 revives but its basically mandatory) they give you LIMITED revive and I think bungie SERIOUSLY needs to put some time into thinking about a two or three revive and then no more, can't tell you all how many runs have ended in just quiting at the last boss because suddenly things glitch because bungie is to cheap for dedicated servers its stupid and JUST frustrating and counter intuitive, they need to put REAL thought into raid design instead of these fake difficulty spikes.

1 ReplyIts like the mode is hard or something
-
1 ReplyYou're an idiot. The "No Revives" mechanic has been fundamental in all Hard Modes since Destiny was released.
-
Just suck on mammas milk jugs and you'll feel better . Here is a sweet bit of advise
GET GUD
Is kings fall ur first -blam!-ing raid?!
-
Hard mode requires you to undsrstand the mechanics of the fight and know how to use cover. You need to know when and where to move and what weapons provide the highest chance of success. The hard mode Templar fight was a perfect example of timing, coordination and firepower. Just shooting at stuff would not win the battle. Glitches do cause wipes but most players die from being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Its a very unforgiving learning curve.

If your raid team cannot 5 man most fights after 6 Manning the first one or two rounds you have major dps problems
-
7 RepliesI remember the first time I did a hard mode raid

1 ReplyIs it September 2014 again?

You must be new
-
I hope they make it harder. 3 easy 5 me.
-
1 ReplyNo revives before the encounter is started is stupid.
-
1 ReplyYea I kind of agree, it seems like they are too lazy to find a way to make it harder so they just do this for the hm raids
-
the only thing that should be hard about hard mode is my dick.

Edited by Chadley: 12/31/2015 9:55:12 PMIt's called "Hard mode" for a reason mate. It's been like that since Day One of VoG. Suck it up and deal with it. Everyone else did. Before I deleted my Titan, I had 26 Atheon Hard mode completions and 32 Crota Hard mode completions. If you can't beat the bosses of Hard mode, you don't deserve the loot.
-
No revives is a lazy way to increase dificulty. They should add new mechanics instead like other mmos
-
It's been like that since the game came out
-
Games are supposed to be challenging! Especially a hard mode raid! They don't give us this so we can be walked through it with our hands held. You need to deal with the no revives by planning differently or by having people do different jobs during the raid
-
3 RepliesHard mode is not that hard. You don't deserve the loot if you can't complete each encounter without revives.
