So, you're wondering why some guys choose to play as female characters.
Want the answer?
It's because this is a video game, and people do what they want to get the most enjoyment from a game.. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is the point of a video game... Right?
"You aren't a girl in real life, so why is your character a girl?"
Call it a hunch, but I don't think people can pull flaming revolvers out of the air and shoot fire in real life, either. But your characters still do.
Destiny is not meant to be an accurate representation of the real world, for what I hope are obvious reasons.
Edit: Woah, this thread blew up. Notifications too OP, Bungie pls nerf!

2 RepliesJust a test drive before my sex change operation.

They like how big the ass is on the females

19 RepliesI think the actual point for why dude's pick chick characters.... is simple.... there are times when the game is in third person (tower, swords, supers) and if I'm going to be looking at an ass all day, I'd rather it be a chicks.

female hunter and warlocks look better (to me at least). Plus back before the silver days the dance your character could do was dictated by race and gender, so the second set of 3 characters I made were based on that.
-
I have two hunters one male and one female The male is my main character while the female character keeps his vault clean and cooks him dinner. It's COMPLETELY normal....
-
look, I'm gonna teabag, just part of my nature. now..... would you rather get a teabag or a clamslam ? I feel running a female character is just common courtesy to those I kill ( and there are not many )

Edited by ThargorDraconis: 12/24/2015 12:25:03 AMFemale characters look better than male characters. To be more specific, Hunters: females armor is better fitted and they just look more agile and stealthy. Warlock: does anybody really want to be a male character basically wearing a dress? Titan: male titans tend to look more bulky and fat. Females look better. Also it's fun to see the reaction when someone blows a kiss at your character and you message them that you are a guy lol.

2 RepliesI have 2 male characters, and 1 female, why..? Because I thought I was being sexist so had to make one. Also a friend at work called me sexist for always making male characters
-
For me male warlock and hunter look horrible. Warlock not so much but hunter looks like a buffed guy that didn't do his leg work and hunter should be slim and fast. Their female counterparts look a lot better but that is just my opinion. Titan looks good in either so I went for Male on my Titan.

1 ReplyFor me. Fem. Titan: cause the armor looks too bulky sometimes and I think it's funny. Fem. Hunter: cause they are agile, and the female looks the most agile, and dat Ass. Fem warlock: IDK, still thinking of a reason.

2 RepliesIn games with romance, my wife insists that I create female characters because she gets jealous when I use a male character. In Destiny I use male characters because the only romance is between me and my hand cannon, if you know what I mean.
-
Because sometimes I like being a pretty lady.
-
The whole point is actually what goes into the thinking process of a person to choose a different sex? I for one do feel strange when playing girl characaters for some reason, it is almost like as I transport myself into my virtual doppelganger.
-
1 Replyis it just me.. or did others choose a female because theyre 'smaller', and so harder to hit in PvP.. i swear this was my genuine reason and i sound so retarded now lmfaoooo

1 ReplyMy titan is a girl cause guy titans are fat.
-
I like girls.
-
Because all Hunters are inherently female to begin with (of which explains a lot).
-
It really shouldn't matter, and in any other game no one would throw a fit over it. But some people here are so insecure about it that they want everyone to play a character to match their gender. If dudes wanna play as chicks that's fine. If chicks wanna play as dudes that's also fine. Let them play how they want to and get over it.

Edited by Cito: 12/23/2015 4:33:21 PMThere's no body customization in this game. And the male hunters armor looks bulky as hell to be "agile"
-
Male Warlocks look too stupid.
-
Girls look cooler, being slim yet strong while the guys look fat.
-
I made my hunter a girl because i felt as if make hunters looked weird and were too bulky. I also felt as if an awoken female suited hunter more as hunter reminded me of the generic elf hunter in medieval fiction and awoken reminded me of that. No other reason.

2 RepliesWho wants to look at a dude all day playing video games?....gay men that's who.

I like the female character designs more. I swear though, my roommate comments on my hunters ass every freaking time he sees me playing her. At first I didn't care but it's straight up demeaning and annoying and have asked him to stop, yet he continues to do it .

Cause why not it get kinda boring making a male character in every game i play
