SRL is ruining destiny
I'm not the best player, I haven't been playing for long, and my pvp k/d is crap. Any other negative about me that anyone has to say I really don't care.
So after getting that out of the way, I find it absolutely disgusting that anyone can go out and run a bunch of sparrow races and have high light level gear drop. What happened to earning badass gear with bullets, tactical skill, and teamwork? Sparrow racing killed it that's what. If you aren't skilled or at least persistent enough to finish raids or IB or Trials, you do NOT deserve gear above 300 light. Period. I know I'll get a lot of hate for this post but seriously, -blam!- off. Case in point, if you're above 310 light without even one raid completion or having been to the lighthouse or haven't maxed out Iron Banner before, you're a garbage player and what's wrong with this game. Get out there and kill Oryx, wreck some fools in Trials, hold down your control points in IB, but mostly quit being a b**** getting spoon fed your light on the back of a sparrow.
Edit: You're all missing the point. It's a shooting game. Shoot to kill, kill to win. Racing belongs elsewhere and if they are going to give rewards for it then it should be shaders and custom sparrows at most. Bet most of you wouldn't do the racing if it didn't give you rewards.

This is the dumbest post I have seen on here and that it saying quite a lot. You obviously are void of PVP skills so it should matter to you what anyone's light level is as it doesn't affect your game play. People getting cheap gear and raising their light level to make them more powerful is something IB and Trials players have to deal with.

The problem with your post is that your missing the essential point of SRL. SRL isn't about getting 320 gear, it just so happens it does drop 320's. The point of SRL is to have fun. Its something different from your usual game play. You are definetely wrong by saying this is just " A shooting game. Shoot to kill, kill to win." when the game is way much more than your average FPS. I suppose Call of Duty has interfered with your idiosyncratic Judgement.

Dumbest thing I've seen in a while. Like saying halo shouldn't have had forge, or grifball......since it isn't just shooting things in the face 100% of the time. Does everyone who sucks at racing have to make a thread about why srl stinks, or shouldn't be in the game.

They should let us hit other players with weapons while racing like road rash. So I can backhand someone off their sparrow and honk the clown horn as I drive away.

2 RepliesHadnt played destiny in a while, sparrow racing arrived, came back to try it out, got bored quick, havent played since, still waiting on bungie to make this game fun again. Completely agree with op on the reward system, ive been 295 for ages & dont want any 300+ gear if its that easy to get, i dont raid & dont pvp & its right that i should have to play endgame content to reach max level, once again destiny caters to the casuals.

Destiny is pushing the casuals because it's loosing member base fast. Along with it being holiday season they needed some gimmie to claim they're having amazing numbers.

It's getting people back in the game and for those who love sparrow racing and started hating the new raid for its bad rewards, it's a great way to earn loot. You don't like sparrow racing and want to get a higher level, then do something else. Don't bitch about people who enjoy sparrow racing and rather do other activities than the cruddy raid. More choices for the gamer the better and it keeps this game from getting stale for many others.
