15 RepliesIf they keep following in WOW's footsteps, yes
-
They have to because they are contracted to wether the community follows or not is different
-
doubtful
-
Not without a true open world, dynamic mission events, massive pve exploration with optional open world pvp (like planetside 2) and loot that is ever changing and evolving so you can log in and grind the wildlife or fight your way to an open world boss etc to upgrade and customize your weapons. Without at least some of those, destiny will be remade by a company with rpg experience and will eclipse this version of destiny
-
Yeah we're all addicted lel woops
-
I just wanna be able to show off ghally
-
I think people will come and go throughout the 10 years but the game will stay. I'm sure I'll be playing overwatch when it comes out But will end up still playing destiny
-
Not a chance.... I would be surprised if they make it 1 more....
-
4 RepliesYes. It can only get better, and it's amazing as it is, minus the imperfections. But they're learning just like anyone.
-
1 ReplyDestiny 2 will probably have a redesigned engine, has they will not have to limit it to work on last gen hardware, thus it will be better But time will tell
-
-
It will. Though not with the hype it was announced with.
-
1 ReplyThe raid concept on console is a great idea the content becomes dry after three or so weeks of grinding just need to find a way to keep content flowing and sure ten years here we come..
-
4 RepliesAbsolutely. As long as they keep bringing new writers to the table, and new ideas, they'll be fine.
-
19 RepliesI'm sure it will. COD is still going and they haven't had a good game in yrs. I think destiny is only going to improve. People complain but they keep playing.
-
Honestly, when they drop old consoles and the community stops being, well, the way they are now, I think destiny will be much more successful. The main thing that I can thing of that will kill it is the community
-
100% yes.
-
Honestly I don't think it will live past vanilla destiny 2 at this rate
-
Not like this! Maybe with more strikes, raids, even just bringing back the stuff they took out would help. With the current direction a bulk of year 1 players are done!!!! Most of the clan who moved on want nothing to do with Destiny, the social aspect being the only fond memory.
-
7 Repliesno, WW3 is about to happen and we will all be ash b4 10 years is up.
-
1 ReplyHonestly? At this rate.. Hell no I truthfully think it's only a matter of time before people wake up and see how barren this game really is. I was your hardcore destiny fan defending it up and down because I genuinely believed the shit I was saying, I don't care about micro transactions I don't care about slot of the shit the average troll does. I left destiny because I can see that's they realize wow the game at this core is fun but it needs other shit. I think they are trying to redeem them selves with these events but they're still shit. I need more content and fun content at that sparrow racing was fun at first but I grew tired of t quickly. I need another gjallahorn or mythoclast to chase that's the shit that kept me playing.
-
Absolutely! This is the new cod, 10 years is just the beginning.
-
Yep, all the people saying no will still be here.
-
If u guys would read the bungie interview, it was never meant to last 10 years. Bungie has a 10 year contract to make a game. It can last 1 year or 20, depending how long peeps wanna keep playing.

As a franchise, yes. As it is now, no.
