I dont understand. The perks are normal. But I think its because of the high impact, or the aim assist? I really don't know.

5 RepliesDecent aim assist. And one of the two snipers in Taken King that can res snipe. (Stillpiercer not included for obvious reasons)
-
2 RepliesIt's the easiest sniper to get in that archetype.
-
5 RepliesEiriene rr4 is waaaaya better It has more impact But the same rate of fire
-
1 ReplyCan't really say, I prefer Omolon Eriene or Stillpiecer
-
It's the 90 sticky aim
-
Mine does Void Damage and has explosive rounds
-
The vendor roll is good. It has good scopes. It has good aim assist. It has high impact. What's not to love? I finally started using it over my Stillpiercer. (I still love it though.)

For PvE triple tap and low stability

dude the reason everyone uses it is because there are not many other options. of course there are other sniper archtypes, but i want to use a high impact one for the revive snipesand there we only have the option to use 1000-yard stare, stillpiercer (hunter exclusive), eirene (some don't like the scope) and black spindle (take away exotic slot). bungie messed up that they don't let us infuse our old weapons. trust me, you would see a whole lot of different snipers if we could being back our her benelovence, ldrs, spears and whatever. additionally, i dont -blam!-ing get how the sniper from ToO is not a high impact sniper. i mean In ToO, where reviving is an option and all weapons that we gain acutally should work towards doing better in trials, why is the one sniper that we get not a high impact sniper to get those revive snipes?! i mean i understand that the new IB one is not, but for trials it would only make sense if we got a High impact sniper.

3 RepliesIt's the fact that the impact is a one hit rez snipe while the aim assist being the highest of the snipers that can accomplish that
-
Good aim assist and mainly easily obtainable
-
Perfect archetype with high aim assist
-
It only has an aim assist in the 50s. It has a high enough impact to res snipe. AND it's SUPER EASY TO GET. You get it as a quest reward. Or you can get to vanguard rank 3 (who isn't) and purchase it from the quartermaster. And you can possibly get it from vanguard packages I believe.
-
Aim assist.
-
1k yard stare and conspiracy theory-d are both crutch weapons imo. I don't have anything against either of them I actually use the 1k yard stare on my hunter and use shotguns all the time on my Titan but these weapons outclass all other legendaries of their weapon type in pvp which is why everyone uses them.

The ability to res snipe, the vanguard gives you the option to get it from them early on in the taken king, which I might add is worth leaving at whoever offers it till you get a roll you like (it changes every week at reset, works with the gunsmith weapons too). Aim assist isn't very high but to me aim assist doesn't play much of a part for good snipers, kjhovey and mtoshed don't get their kills by just mashing l2 and r2 while pointing towards someone. It has more to do with knowing the map and picking good lanes and thumb skill.

4 RepliesEdited by Oenothera: 12/16/2015 1:59:36 AMHigh impact, high aim assist, easy to obtain, even given decent perked ones for quest rewsrds. As well, I think even the vendor version had good perks.

High impact, firefly, mulligan, nuff said........
-
Triple tap is really nice.
-
Easily available high impact sniper. The vendor rolls are very good for PvE and relatively decent for PvP. That's it. Anyone complaining about aim assist doesn't understand how aim assist works in this game.
-
High impact snipers are usually the preferred ones. It also has good scopes
-
3 RepliesBuilt in aim bot.

3 RepliesIt's lack of competition.
