Just deleted my 314 Titan and 313 Hunter together with all the good stuff.
Then I uninstalled the game from my PS4, after 306 hours of gaming.
If you wonder why read on.
The reasons I did this are the following:
- Grind, grind and grind.
- RNG awards (to get you addicted).
- Lack of new content / repetetive
- Introduction of microtransactions.
- Did I mention grind?
Basically, when you (quickly) finished the limited content, you feel like a rat getting a small reward for completing the same few mazes over and over again. Is that what you really want to spend your time doing?
You might ask why I still spent so much time playing Destiny? Because I love gaming. Gaming should be fun and not feel like a chore. I still game other games, but I also spend more time with family and friends.
Bye bye, Destiny.
EDIT: I never thought so many would take time to comment on this post. Obviously I hit a nerve or does all farewell-post get hundreds of comments? I actually had much more fun in the forum, than I have had in the game for weeks. Thanks!
Respect and peace to all faithfull Destiny gamers and also to those who decided to use a short human life on other (gaming?) activities.

Why are the Destiny forums always flooded by these post? "That's it, I'm done" or I'm finished with Destiny" etc. Why do you make these topics explaining why you're leaving Destiny? Do you feel like you're making a walkthrough or something? "How to hate Destiny" Are you trying to recruit more people to leave or something?

306 hours?, u didnt grind at all
-
What are you grinding for? To hell with the game if that's how you feel. I find myself doing the raid more than 3 times a week and even the old ones! But no no no do I find myself grinding it for what? Ooo maxed level. I play destiny for fun not to grind for meaningless achievements.

Reason i give up on destiny because i have no friends so i use random player most of them are not nice

4 RepliesAgreed! I have put over 600 hours in this game. More than any other game I ever played. I have done everything and had a lot of fun. Now I can finally watch TV without wanting to play destiny. Its based om addiction and thats what keeps you going after a while. And bungie did their job good keeping us coming back for that new pointless reward. Now I am back at enjoying other games when I have time and want to play. And my girlfriend likes me better now! Destiny was good, but its based on the wrong things

It's because you are scared of hard oryx challenge ;(

How can RNG get me "addicted" when I NEVER GET ANYTHING I CAN USE!!!!
-
What do you mean? That warlock you have is damn high level.
-
8 RepliesYou can say what you want but he is actually a lot smarter then lot of us. He realised obvious after 306 hours, me after 1500, and others still didnt after 2000. The fact is that this game and Bungie are not worth your time and money. I'm so glad I stopped playing and that I'm finally enjoying gaming the way I used to before -blam!-ing Destiny.
-
You would have committed suicide in year one if you only have that much time in this game.
-
2 RepliesI've put aside destiny for now. I'm working on finishing GTA 5, Arkham Knight hard mode, and Shadow of Mordor.
-
1 Reply300 hours? That's it? Filthy casual

I made a post like this once. Then they announced ttk and I preordered that sh!t. I was back to max level in a week. Dont think that deleting your characters will end the addiction. You'll be back.

Especially if you have an excess of time and you binge on gaming, any and every game will start to feel like a hamster wheel. Especially ones with mmo aspects. My suggestion is moderation. Take a week off from your pc/console. Do something else and then come back to gaming. I took a long break from gaming, read some books (first 4 in the dark tower series) and now dove back into my ps4 and every game feels so new and fresh again. Fallout, ffxiv, gta, bloodborne, and especially destiny. Moderation is key!

You wouldn't last the download of Wow if you think you know what grinding is lol

2 RepliesWhy do people feel the need to let strangers know that they won't be playing anymore? Tell your friends sure, but we as a community don't care all that much.

Way to be strong for yourself man.

7 RepliesAnother salty warlock.... Go figure.

All is true! Good for you, don't listen to all the fanboys!
