Just deleted my 314 Titan and 313 Hunter together with all the good stuff.
Then I uninstalled the game from my PS4, after 306 hours of gaming.
If you wonder why read on.
The reasons I did this are the following:
- Grind, grind and grind.
- RNG awards (to get you addicted).
- Lack of new content / repetetive
- Introduction of microtransactions.
- Did I mention grind?
Basically, when you (quickly) finished the limited content, you feel like a rat getting a small reward for completing the same few mazes over and over again. Is that what you really want to spend your time doing?
You might ask why I still spent so much time playing Destiny? Because I love gaming. Gaming should be fun and not feel like a chore. I still game other games, but I also spend more time with family and friends.
Bye bye, Destiny.
EDIT: I never thought so many would take time to comment on this post. Obviously I hit a nerve or does all farewell-post get hundreds of comments? I actually had much more fun in the forum, than I have had in the game for weeks. Thanks!
Respect and peace to all faithfull Destiny gamers and also to those who decided to use a short human life on other (gaming?) activities.

1 ReplyWhy not just stop playing the game like I did? There's no need to delete all you're stuff after that amount of hours that u spend playing this game.
-
"So much time playing destiny" 306 hours..... No
-
1 ReplyThat makes no sense. Why delete the game, you're characters, ect ect. Tired of Destiny, play a different game.
-
2 Replies306 hours, scrub.

Edited by michaeljacksen: 12/14/2015 5:55:28 PMI hear ya, I always check myself about if "I'm wasting my time, or should wait for next DLC" I don't think Bungie is completely evil about the grind. I mean, what else could they do ? You can't get better n better drops everyday. Your shit would be so high - you blast through the roof. Destiny gives alotta variety besides grinding for higher light. >Story missions >PvP >Weapon Unlocking >Raids >Racing If you're just playing to grind higher light, yeah, you'll get bored fast.

With any game, it becomes very repetitive. Adding "the grind" is part of what makes you keep playing for rewards. RNG may suck but it's only a way to make you keep playing. If your bored, your bored. Don't antagonize Destiny because of your own boredom.

I've quit Destiny as well. I've also beat the game up on these forums but that doesn't mean it's a bad game. If they release good content I'll come back but challenge mode and SRL just isn't enough.

306 hours is not much. And goodbye
-
9 RepliesYou say about the grind yet you've racked up a bland 306 hours, come back to me about the grind when you're totalling 1300 hours dude :-P
-
Only 306 hours what'd u get the game in the spring lol.
-
3 RepliesSame here deleted mine aswell
-
Have fun grinding again
-
Bye bye noob
-
Shouldn't have deleted, that's overkill, maybe take a few weeks off from destiny and come back. That's what I did and it was refreshing. I'm only playing once Maybe twice a week for the "challenge" mode then continue on with everything else
-
Your Warlock made you do it. Space magic.
-
Only 306 hours of gaming ? Barely even scratched the surface

BYE FELICIA

It's just a game, pixels on a screen. If you're not enjoying it, then I encourage anyone to leave.
-
Maybe if you people didn't constantly game and blow through content in like.. a month.. this wouldn't be an issue for you. -coming from a 319 player with all classes above 310..
-
You've barely even played this game you also Never even achieved moments of triumph? How ? .........

4 RepliesIf you deleted your characters you should of deleted this app from your phone too so we don't have to read these dumb posts
-
No wonder. You're a scrub.

Why are the Destiny forums always flooded by these post? "That's it, I'm done" or I'm finished with Destiny" etc. Why do you make these topics explaining why you're leaving Destiny? Do you feel like you're making a walkthrough or something? "How to hate Destiny" Are you trying to recruit more people to leave or something?
