Edited by Angelus-B-: 12/17/2015 8:24:22 PMI never had the opportunity to run thorn in PvP pre 2.0 though suffered like millions, the ignominy of being killed by its OP range. However lately (seen as I don't take PvP seriously) I've been using both it and necrochasm with success.

Thorn was never really good because it could kill in two headshots (Though that was another major reason). But Thorn was mostly deadly because it stopped recovery..... for a fair amount of time. Which is lethal in trials where staying alive is so important.

The only reason one would want Thorn back was for Trials, where light level matters. Otherwise it's still a viable gun in the crucible.

2 RepliesEveryone here getting salty, immediately saying no...they don't seem to realize that the Thorn burn was nerfed. Even with the burn, it will still be a 3-shot kill to the head, LIKE EVERY OTHER HAND CANNON...but you're all ok with TLW, even though it crits 100+ making it a possible 2 shot? Kkkkkkkk.. If anything, the First Curse should crit 100+. People don't want the Thorn back, because they suck ass with it lol..

Please bring it back, never used it in crucible myself, but it was fun for pve, and it was only annoying during iron banana and trials because they're ranked

After this 2.1 patch i sincerely hate to bring it up but thorn... is back. It is not the op weapon of everyones choice but then again is it suppossed to be?

I vote yes. Sure I got killed a ton by it in Pvp but it was so much fun to wield!!! In the hands of a good player, Hawkmoon and TLW were just as good so why bring those back and not Thorn? Weaponists!!
