NO FUTURE DLC - Free Events with Microtransactions are the future.

They will just drip feed us y1 stuff and all the fan boys will just lap it all up. This game is going in a bad direction, I remember paying £12 for shivering Isles for oblivion which added a whole new map, new story and side quests, well worth the price but now in this day and age companies put out shoddy work and ask way to much for it but ppl just throw the money at it not thinking about what's really going on behind the scenes

1 ReplyWithout quarterly influx of new weapons, armour, strikes, maps and raids the game has nowhere near enough to keep the hardcore or even medium player entertained. First yr we struggled after the first month of each dlc for things to do other than grind raids or pvp. I have no interest to sink time into this game if the content remains as is. I'll dip into pvp n a few new exotics but unless I get a new raid I'm done till destiny 2. Fallout cured me. Praise the sun.

Sparrow racing didn't bring this game back together. With 5 people spamposting wanting to raid, Crucible, or race, we couldn't find anybody. Everybody fell apart and started doing their own thing. If this is the path for Destiny, its going downhill.

So we will for sure be getting more events and more content, perhaps not in a massive DLC format but regular new quests, missions, strikes and maybe raids.....who knows, he also said he couldn't comment on it further and kept the conversation focuses on SLR. All these people just constantly shouting "the sky is falling, the sky is falling..." Dude, relax.....it's a game! Divide the amount of money you have spent on Destiny by the number of hours you have played and you will see how much value you get from it. Don't like it, then don't play it. Peace

This is sad. My group is already disbanded, playing all the other titles out now. If sparrow racing is all you have to offer for year 2, I know we'll never get back to this game. Shame

Besides trials & iron banner, i'm really not a fan of timed events & time gated bs like getting black spindle etc. Its more irritating than anything. i'd rather have it on hand to do anytime than wonder when the hell its coming back, if the time is different, & if it will last as long as before or not.

If there's no more content that pushes the story forward in a meaningful way I have to say that the story of Destiny 1 was pretty flat and underwhelming. I mean, the Traveler is the most interesting part of the setting and we were busy killing ink blob that was apparently really bad and tracking down an escaped felon. I'm no more invested in the struggle of humanity's last stand against the darkness than I was before it all started. And it feels like there's nothing at stake, at this stage the combined forces of Darkness are little more than obstacles on the race track of some futuristic Grand Prix. I know Bungie really fumbled Destiny's story for vanilla and tried to get it back on track with the DLCs but I really hope they get their act together for the sequel because this world and the story could be SO engaging.

I'm happy with that. I'm taking a long break from Destiny. The only thing I'm personally interested in is the lore, and when there's no story/lore or anything like that, I don't feel like I'm missing out too much. I'm glad that they're putting in stuff that other people can and will enjoy, but this is also good for me so that I can just hop in if I see that a neat event is happening (not interested in sparrow racing). Now I won't feel like I have to play to keep up, and I can hopefully just hold off until Destiny 2.

I remember: The dark below: a well paid normal dlc House of Wolves: a pre-paid dlc that happened to not have a raid after it was announced. The taken king: a good dlc paid like a new game. Maybe I've missed the "giant monolithic dlc" I love this game but i think that this model of business is wrong. I've bought some silver thinking about future big contents. Apparently bungie think that with silver can earn more with less trouble and work... So if bungie can change the model of business i'm free to change my plan about playing destiny and buying more silver

And you know what I'm ok with this not having another dlc will free me up to finally cap out my grimoire and not worry about rushing to catch up with friends who raid everyday. A nice break honestly I'm happy with it.

9 RepliesPut in some extra time at work so I can buy all the cool stuff that Bungie offers us [spoiler]bring on the hate[/spoiler] I've made small purchases in online games in the past. It's really NOT a bad thing at all. I think of it as a tip to Bungie for the awesome creation they provided us. Now not everyone will agree but look at this way. You've made reservations at an upscale restaurant. You are greeted as you enter and brought to the table where you are going to place your order. You browse the multiple options in the menu and decide on your meal. The ambiance is great. The entrees or the appetizers were on point and your waiter or waitress has been briefly checking in to make sure you are having a pleasurable time. Drinks are refilled, you may even be asked if the temperature is comfortable or on par with your liking. Finally! The main course arrives. You chow down and you're filled. All expectations were met and your finishing up. Here comes the moment when you must pay. Being over satisfied you think, well the waitstaff was great. The service and the concerns were above par based on the eatery across the street. Now you reach back in your wallet and provide a [b]fair[/b] tip. THIS IS YOUR GAMING EXPERIENCE. Players should not be discriminated for tipping where they feel it is deserved. The receiving end of your payment will appreciate it, remember you and most importantly. They will remember who you are and service you better the next time you walk through the doors. /end rant.

Pretty obvious is all hands on deck for destiny 2 . If it just sporadic events like this then that's ok with me . Will have to check what else is coming out early in the new year though . Need something new to keep me entertained

3 RepliesIt's obvious what Bungie will do, a few months down the line, they'll make Y1 Raids relevant again and say they're listening to the community, and then all Desticles will be like Yaay new old raids, now to get that Fatebringer again, and VoG Gear etc..
