I freaked out when we were first teased Swords and also saw the Iron Banner sword artifact. I would love to see Iron Banner swords. Perhaps they swing faster but deal less damage, making them more applicable in the Crucible as compared to the Wild. I'd like to see a rusted sword and a sword like the ones in the picture you provided.

Yes, but only on "regular" Guardians. Guardians in Supers that give more armour or ones with an over-shield would probably require more than one hit to keep things fair.

You can do that with the other swords. You can actually tank two with the arc and solar swords.

For sure. I could see them all doing different things. Maybe one sword can block all elements while another can swing as fast as a Bladedancer's Arc Blade.
