It was extreme overkill. I think just the overall archetype of high impact, low rate of fire needed a nerf, but other than that the rest were good. I might actually use exotic shotguns now. Why would I use an exotic on a shotty when I can just use my legendary that kills quicker and at longer ranges and doesn't take an exotic slot.

That and they needed to fix the chaperone too, the people that go around body-shoting with that thing are ridiculous.

3 RepliesThe only shotgun problem is Invective. Seen so many people maining it it's ridiculous. At least the nerf will mean I don't have to bother doing the chaperone quest now.

Oh, and by the way, I do agree with you. The solution was easy - nerf the range on Conspiracy and Party Crasher by 25-30% and make sure they didn't give a legendary shotgun range like that again. Sorted!

They are just trying to stop players maining shotguns, or at least force them to use Invective or Chaparone, so it makes them use their exotic slot for the pleasure. We will just have to see how this plays out...

I feell like the shotguns themselves are fine its just the few types like conspiracy theory which need to be altered along with the rangefinder perk.

What they should do is start everyone off with max special ammo and that's it. Then nothing would need to be nerfed

The fact that a lot of players are running using their shotguns as their main weapon in pvp proves they need to at least nerf the range on some like conspiracy theory-d and chaperone , also agree that pulse rifles need a slight nerf as thats all anyone uses atm aside from shotguns
