What's the hype on no knight?
Seriously what is all the hype about the no knight method? It's really not that hard to kill the Knights two shots with a sniper they're down. So why is everyone all about the no knight method? Imo it leaves everyone too exposed because those ogres dish out serious damage. Plus they start shooting the relic runner. I just think it's way easier to do it how it was intended and kill the Knights after the ogres. If you have two up top killing the ogres then the people on the plates can take care of the Knights. I just don't understand what all the hype is over no knight.
EDIT! I changed the title since I was getting shit for it. This was never meant to be an attack on no knight, simply stating that I personally don't understand why everyone is so reliant on it. You never see lfg posts where people are saying hard mode must know the kill ogre method. It was an opinion, so everyone relax. And to those who had actual input instead of saying they were going to -blam!- my dead mom, thanks. The destiny community sucks so much dick.

5 RepliesNot so much about killing the Knights bro it's those last two guys having to stay there exposed longer to kill them because if you fire even once all adds aggro on you. Those acolyte eyes melt you on hard. With no knight everyone just sits down so they never draw aggro

Every time and I cant see him till we are getting called back cause buttface is slamming and all the acolytes have spawned eyes. Its easy to 2 shot him but most of time all I can see is his sword.

Because back in the day everyone was low light killing was hard and people died to easily on hard mode. Someone came up with this strat to keep players more save, it has worked ever since so people keep doing it.

1 ReplyI dont know why people rage over this. One of the greatest attributes to raiding is adaptability. Learn both strats. And just go with the majority. Ive even run raids where weve done both, started killing knights, go a man down and switched up to no knights. Both ways are fast and easy with a good team. Ive seen no knight get very messy, but ive also seen it run super smooth, and with good players its usually a 1 shot oryx run. The strat is fine, the problem is players who cant play under any kind of pressure. Honestly, im comfortable with either.

2 RepliesThe problem is not killing the knights. It's trusting that everyone will kill their knight. Very rarely do I find a group on LFG that 4-5 people are competent enough to do the raid to begin with.

1 ReplyIt was great when people running hard mode were like, light level 305 ish and didn't have enough mojo to quickly kill their Knights. Now that a lot of folks are 310+ depending on RNGesus, no knight strat is just stupid. They die pretty easily and not having to worry about being mowed down by an ogre or 2 is pretty great. I've seen relic runners jump down to grab the shield and die while still in the air from ogres giving it to him Long Dick Style #Tyrone

Because if done correctly the ogres only shoot at ppl on daughters platform which should never die with blessing behind them and being able to hide from line of sight therefore all ppl on platforms literally sit and do nothing. The relic runner if good enough will finish by spawn of 3rd ogre, its very simple.

7 RepliesMy little window licking friend.... There is no difference. We Sherpa'd three 305's and below with this method. All they had to do was sit in the platform's while we did the work. If you're so bad that you're having such a hard time with the no night strat quit playing and move on and play Fallout or battlefield. Stop crying, please!
