With all the talk of the different states refusing to allow the refugees in, what is your stance?

3 RepliesIt's not the American way to not let them in. But at the same time we can't let them in w/o background checks. Hate to say it, but we should put them in like reservations and once they prove themselves worthy to be accepted into American society, let them in. Bam. Solved.

3 RepliesPSA: The head of the French terror plot has been identified as a Belgian national. Not a Syrian.

10 RepliesEdited by Sparrowhawk: 11/19/2015 9:48:26 PMSeriously? Everyone in America except for a small minority are descended from British colonists... all of you are so hypocritical... if that isn't enough for you the main reason those innocent people are refugees is because America and Europe stirred up all the shit in the first place, which eventually caused all this... Hypocritical, selfish bastards. Edit: I love how all of you decide to focus on the first bit (which is still fact...) and completely ignore the more important second half...

Edited by OUTAMYWAYRUNTS: 11/20/2015 4:19:55 PMWith how large of a security issue this is, I'm going with no. Unless they can figure out an efficient and safe way to filter them all through.

Not right now
-
1 ReplyAmericas going to let refugees in. There will eventually be another attack on the homeland and that's when the masses will blame the refugees
-
6 RepliesI don't know why not. Anyone acquainted with the immigration and vetting process should feel the same way. Not to mention we have the capacity to run background checks on these people.

1 ReplyWell ISIS hates the US the most out of every other country. Letting refugees into the US increases the chance of terrorists slipping in. What does that add up to?
-
4 RepliesEdited by Eluminary: 11/19/2015 12:05:34 AMOh no we're weak little country that can't handle a couple of terrorists to help thousands of people in desperate need.... Suck it up assholes let American perform to its ideals for once... instead of being the Cowardly racists we to often find ourselves being
Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me: I lift my lamp beside the golden door.
Some states simply shouldn't let refugees. Like NJ, because we literally have no where for them to go.
-
29 RepliesITT: People don't know that a vetting process exists for refugees. Claiming refugee status doesn't give you a free pass into a country, you still have to provide documentation. We've accepted plenty of refugees from the Middle East since 9/11, and none of them have attacked us.
-
6 RepliesALL of you guys would be tooting a different horn if you had family in. those attacks. You guys are so stupid it will literally have to hit you in the face for you to realize it is not a good idea to contuously let Europe and the US be flooded with mexicans, africans and syrians etc. It just doesnt workout letting people in from those walks of life into our advanced society. They just end up criminals or leeches.
-
46 RepliesIt's 10,000 refugees that are running away from a destructive force America had a primary role in creating. It is our moral duty to protect those running from harm. Split 10,000 over 50 states, that's 200 per state. Combine that with the MOST ROBUST vetting process in the world which takes between 18-24 months to be completed. (update: has just gotten even most extensive) We are taking in less that 1/2 of 1% of the Syrian refugees. Stop being un-American.
-
We got guns; Jus let em try sumthin messed up. There is NO REASON not to allow immigration of political or conflict refugees. Are you familiar with internment camps? Thats what happens when you DONT allow them in; They get sent to internment camps.

2 Replies#offtopic: "We shouldn't let Syrian refugees in because some might be terrorists!" [earlier...] #offtopic: "Not all cops are bad cops! Stop trying to make them look bad!"

8 RepliesIf this was 10k to 100k Mexicans flooding from Mexico I bet just about everyone here would not want then coming over. Anyone honestly think we won't have any problems from letting in that many 3rd world refugees in our country? Terrorist crap aside, it's still a shit ton of problems. 5 years from now all of you who wanted to let them in will start to see Muslim ghettos raise up and gangs popping up where there wasn't gangs and then you will regret your decision.
-
9 RepliesNo. Why do we always have to "save the day"? Why cant China take them in or move them to africa. We have our own problems such as 19 trill in debt how about we sort those thigns out before our country collapses instead of letting some possible terroists in

13 RepliesEdited by Penguin Emperor: 11/20/2015 5:57:04 AMHere's a bag of 10,000 mm's. 10 are poisoned. How many people would be willing to take some mm's knowing that by doing so everyone else will have to do the same? Plus we already have to deal with this stupid "war on cops" bs. It would only be a matter of time before we get "Syrian lives matter".
-
1 ReplyEdited by Sora Orth: 11/19/2015 3:30:55 PMIt would take year and a half to two years of exhausting background checks and questions before they would be fully aloud in, if terrorists really wanted in, there are a dozen better ways of going by with it.
-
18 RepliesI voted no, and to all those who voted yes, if and when icis terrorists attack and if they came to the US along with all those refugees you people better be the first people to volunteer to assist in the war against them, cause you allowed them to enter our country. If you voted yes and will not volunteer then you are cowards.

Only if we stick them all in utah.

What's funny is that France is letting in 30,000 refugees in their country while the U.S broke a promise.
-
Yes let them in ISIL wants us to divide so there will be a war
