Its completely taking over lfg and the fireteams subreddit. Its such a bad strat. Why the -blam!- would you want to leave four ogres alive when you can just melt them with ToM and snipers? Because you can't kill a red health knight and two acolytes right after? Literally every person who approves of this garbage "strategy" is also garbage. I've seen enough to come to that conclusion. They struggle through the entire raid and soon as they get to Oryx they always say "we're not killing ogres, right?" Its so pathetic. I've quit four groups in a row because of these people. Oryx is such an easy boss fight but these scrubs make it so difficult. Its barely even a boss fight anyway. You stand on a platform, you kill an ogre, a knight, and two acolytes, stand in a ring that protects you from all damage, shoot a huge target that doesnt even move, then stand in a black ball for two seconds. The lack of skill in people that play this game just blows my mind.
From now on I'm kicking everyone who wants to do this "strategy" because you deserve it. Git gud scrubs.
Final edit: Every single one of you who approves of the no knight strat has bad stats lmfao...you guys are hilarious! You're just proving my point even more! Just a bunch of casuals that cant even beat a mission against an AI with set patterns that repeat over and over so you have to skip mechanics to make it easier for yourself...you couldnt beat it day one the normal way so you had to find a youtube tutorial to make it easier for yourself. Youre all garbage. I beat this shit on day one with an entire group under 310 so dont blame it on your own light level, blame it on your skill level! I cant wait until challenge mode comes out and youll all be left in the dust and will wait around until another cheese strat comes out on youtube.

Bump for more humour

Those no knight people like not shooting. Hmm, are those the same people I destroy on the way to the lighthouse
-
I was in a group that insisted on doing the "No knight" strat. Failure after failure. Switched to what we knew and it took two tries. Do what you are comfortable with. I prefer the original way.

Edited by SchwarzMann: 11/11/2015 7:11:56 AMHonestly I could probably kill my own ogre, knight, acolytes maybe the centurion alone so...
-
I don't like the no knight strategy either. It relies on too much randomness to be effective most of the time. I have 5 hard mode completions 3 normal and 2 no knight and the 3 normal ones were faster and more efficient.

Get over it.

Whiney scrub

2 RepliesWhat happened when you posted on LFG, creating a group that was "must kill knights strategy"?
-
I don't understand this argument. This method is easier. Without Killing them you : 1 control the pace of the encounter (by) 2 decreasing the amount of ads that spawn 3 players stay alive longer (Since none of the players controlling the plates are drawing Argo from ads) 4 it's easier to shoot and predict a target below you 5 and (this is the big one) less mistakes "could" be made. It's not at all about killing one red bar knight, that's easy, it's about giving your teammates every advantage and minimizing risk at each detonation. Then again you raid however you like. My only enjoyment left in the raiding is figuring out and adapting to how each new team beats it.

Worked for me first try on hard :(

Sooooo your saying you cant beat it using the no knight strat?? Wouldnt that make you a scrub? If you're so "gud" you could beat it no matter the strat. Sounds to me like youre the scrub :-p

Why is your Grimoire so low!? Lololol!

2 RepliesOnce upon a time: OP was in a lobby. His team said "don't kill the knights!" But OP didn't listen. OP was yelled at, and it made him sad. Try as he might, he couldn't understand basic directions. Eventually OP was kicked... And the most bitter little bumblebee was born. He now resides on the destiny forums. The end.

So how long did this day one raid take you oh great and powerful master guardian... Cos I have better things to do tbh. I mean have fun with it but no need to be a dick to everyone who wants to play the game differently to you... Bet you also kick people who've never ran a raid etc too... If you were actually good then you wouldn't need to say rubbish like this to feel good. Have a wonderful day of wasting your life on a game, when you developer the ability to self revive or another super in real life we can talk 👍

My comment to the no knight strat is "if you. Can't melt a red bar knight, you have no business doing hard mode."
-
Because it is best to never assume competence with an LFG group. You'll be disappointed every time. The normal strat requires people to kill hallowed ogres and Knights. The no knight strat requires them to stand on a platform and not die. It's straightforward, easy to explain, and requires the least amount of skill from your team.
-
It's so easy thats why ppl do it. The ogres focus on the ppl shooting from the daughters platform ( which are more or less invincible) and platform guys sit there until time to stagger. How is it hard or not smart lol

3 RepliesChallenge mode is to keep the Knights alive

In less than 5 tries u can finish 1

Edited by Spylaheirre: 11/10/2015 6:14:54 PMOnly did it once in 9 hard mode completions before today, today I did it 3 times and each took 3 or less wipes. Both strategies are easy it just is a matter of preference and experience.
-
It's easy either way, kicking people using a legitimate strategy just makes you look like a bitch....so you should get down from that high horse of yours and accept that people will do things the way they want.
-
Done it on both. No issues. It's not everyone's fault you can't figure it out.
-
What a retard!!!
-
OP is lettuce
-
I approve of both. I agree and disagree. Everyone has there preferences.
