Ok, guys, heres the thing. Im in 9th grade,
yea ik, gtfo squeaker
And i have started noticing things about destiny and its lore. As far as i am concerned, i am the first one to notice these things, and if i am not, i have not been notified. Enjoy.
Lets start with the Trials of Osiris. The only word foriegn to this is "Osiris". In case you didn't know, Osiris is the Egyptian god of the dead. (Anubis is the god of mummification.) Being that the trials are to be the last team standing without having your entire fireteam die, i found this very interesting. This is only the beginning. There are many more links to earth history that people blatantly look over.
This is sure to cause a double take.
The second part also has to do with history. A government with a monarchy is a government that is led by only one ruler. Hold on a second. Mon..arch... y.. How strange. No, i am not talking about those curved doorways. The term arch comes from the greek/latin/roman (i forget) root; ARKHEIN, meaning: "the one who leads us." Sound familiar? Thought so. The ARCHON priest. Seems legit. This is actually very interesting that bungie would dig this deep into history to come up with an idea that most people would just jump over.
Xûr. The nine. Who are they? What are they doing? Well, through further observance, i think i have revealed their names. Heres how. The wormsinger runes. The WORM- SINGER runes. In history, some cultures would worship worms as mythical beings for bringing fertility to their fields. They were so worshipped, that people began to sing songs about them. Ok, got that part. Big deal! People worship worms. What a waste of time. BUT WAIT! Upon using a wormsinger rune, the Ogre, Blaghresh, is summoned. Well, this isn't HUGE, but the ogres kind of remind me of worms. They are slow, sluggish, and have that overall slimy look to them. Even the name has some significance. It kind of resembles something a 3-year old would say upon seeing a worm for the first time. Upon killing the ogre, you get a wormfeeder rune. Yea. They fed worms too. How do you think we invented compost?
This is where i reveal their names.
How many different chests can you get from the wormfeeder runes? 9. Hold on. 9. THE 9.
Ok, big dif. 9 chests. So what? Ill tell you what. Look at the names of the keys. Akka. Eir. Ur. Xol. Yuul. Then there is the keys of gnashing teeth, the spawn, maggots, and wyrding. wyrding. Wyrding. Wording. Clever, bungie. Clever. These must be the names of the nine. Why? Look at Xûr. He has the same "style" of name. It looks almost as if they are part of the same language. Could this be the nine? I have no idea. But this would be cool. Maybe. But this is just a theory. If this gets 100 likes, i will try to post more of this. Hope you guys liked it.
Bubbalooch
Edit 1:i have been informed that the chests are the names of the hive god worms. Still checking for connections.
Edit 2: ok guys, i get it. Its wrong. Its still in phase 1. I just need to rethink and revise. But glad some people know how to appreciate work, and others, are senseless bastards.
Edit 3:follow me if you guys want more like this!
Edit 4: Hey! We made the trending list! Thanks for the support. This is by far the most comments i have ever received on a single thread. Keep it up!

10 RepliesYou couldn't be more than wrong. The name of the nine are already known, here they are:
Akatosh Arkay Dibella Julianos Kynareth Mara Stendarr Talos Zenithar
You're like, two decades late on this one.

Edited by ComicAphid90936: 11/10/2015 9:41:53 PMYou are making very illogical connections. I can do that too. Xur X -u- r Xur has a u in it So does gunsmith So does master rahool, if you spell it rahul So, logicaly, the RNG of xur is linked to gunsmith and cryptarch Case closed

Those are actually the Worm gods, listed in the Books of Sorrow.

1 ReplyEdited by UnfixedArm: 11/10/2015 9:10:02 PM9th Graders unite! Although ask anyone that has talked to me over mic everyone thinks im like 20 so I'm not a conventional "Squeaker" And in response to your post, the way this is typed sounds like all the videos on YouTube that "confirm illuminati"

Glad there is interest in the lore, but as stated by others: Logic paths cannot be based on wordplay unless it is grounded by lore. That would be like saying Bush > Burning Bush > Bible > Christianity > Abrahamic Religions > Islam > Islamic Extremists > 9/11 = Bush did 9/11. You can't jump around from A to B to C without saying a lore reason of why. If you like this sort of thing, I think you might like reading some of Destiny's inspirations and extrapulating that. For example, Destiny's Light and powers takes a lot of inspiration from Egyptian mythology. You could read about Osiris and how he had thousands of names, and learn about the Egyptian concept of "true names," then try to explain how that is represented in Destiny.

Arkhein means "lead" not "the one who leads us"

Awesome. You have a great grasp on etymology and phonics for a kid. I'm impressed.
-
Anyone who replies with "wrong, read the grimoire" but nothing else, has half the brain cells this kid has.

5 RepliesThank you so much for your enthusiastic analysis. There are unfortunately some flaws in what you've pulled together, as I'm sure you now know, but don't let this discourage you. Your analysis now might be flawed, but we all had to start somewhere and it's people like you who are in future going to put the pieces in the right order and make some significant discoveries. You made the right choice in choosing to share your work, as it's the best test you can give to theories. In the mean time, try to ignore the idiots who make dumb comments. They're the people who will never understand this stuff anyway ;) Best of luck!

2 RepliesWell.... I have to say I'm speechless.....Good job

Edited by DigitalNinja: 11/10/2015 8:33:37 PMGood effort, but that's not what those are.. But I'm assuming a lot of people have already told you this. But still, you put a lot of work into it, so I'll give you credit for that.

Hey very observant but check this out you might find it interesting http://destinytimeline.com/

1 ReplyGo read the book of sorrow. This doesn't preclude the ahamkara from being the or part of the nine however.
-
2 RepliesVery solid theory. Very interesting. Great job dude.
-
2 RepliesGrear job, its a firm theory.

2 Replies-Mind blows up-

2 RepliesGood job!

1 ReplyEdited by Pyrotech707: 11/5/2015 5:58:46 PMYou put so much effort into this but it is entirely incorrect, just read the lore or ask someone like AnonPig for his lore expertise. Ya I'm sure you get the point now that those names are the worms and that the wormsinger rune simply refers to the worms.
-
2 RepliesNice to find a flow 9th grader who's not a complete and utter idiot! Also Xur is worm cnfrmed!!1! Those tentacles on his face are actually worms!
-
2 RepliesAs decent a theory as I've seen. Can't wait to see what the truth winds up being.
-
2 RepliesI saw your mistake coming from a mile away but I see you've fixed it. Check out the grimoire from the calcified fragments, it would have informed you of most of it.
-
2 RepliesWell done for coming up with this, even if it is incorrect it was well tried and thought out, good to see someone figures something out for themselves. But you don't sound 15, you sound more 11 12ish.
-
1 ReplyIt's awesome you actually put the time to try and figure out the Nine's identity. But those names the Worm Gods and The Nine (as stated in the Grimoire) are Warminds. Now I didn't finish reading that set so I don't know anything else about them
-
4 RepliesGlad to read your edit. Check your frimor cards if you have them unlocked. Was an interesting read anyway :).
-
4 RepliesThanks for the info. Also bravo for sifting through it all.
-
5 RepliesNo lie I noticed a connection but didn't do the research you did but I am absolutely blown away. Screw bungie they should hire you to run the whole damn thing.
