Definitely should not be a requirement for Normal, but it does make the Daughters and Oryx fights faster. On the other hand I have no issue with it being a requirement for Hard mode. You shouldn't be doing Hard if you've never done Normal, and you get the gun from completing Normal and a little grinding so it's not an unreasonable request.

Agreed, anyone [i]requiring[/i] ToM for normal is delusional. There's still plenty of people that haven't even done the raid yet.
