14 RepliesWell, there's a holiday in the United States called Halloween and it turns out it is this Saturday. These in-game events feature themes similar to Halloween. I might be making a stretch, but I think this event is supposed to be a fun way to celebrate Halloween in-game.

If you think they've done it for that reason then you haven't got a clue. Sorry but it ain't to stop people leaving. It's for fun, nothing more. If all it took was this then people must have small minds. Anything to have a pop at bungie. If they didn't do anything people would moan, they do something and people moan. Pathetic. I agree. Unless they do it for any other holiday. Otherwise I think it's a small attempt to make players stay. However, if they really wanted people, Bungie would've opened another time gated exotic quest today.

This year they give us a full event with mini quests and multiple cosmetic items, that you can choose to purchase if you so wish (no one is forcing you). And the community moan again. well done destiny community, your awesome, stay classy.

Think of all the other holiday events or seasonal events bungie will have! It'll be so fun!

I don't think it was a way to keep players but more to integrate more into the world and give alittle more to the players. last year we asked for more and they gave it to us. It's not a "bribe" to stay but just a hey players we listen and here you go! Plus it's just fun! So why look to deep into it?
