6 RepliesI take it its the one talking about how we were fools to trust the Traveller, this bringer of death and Darkness? Not proof that it is evil. However the Traveller did bring death and Darkness. Whether intentionally or not. The Darkness/Hive tracked the Traveller, same goes for the Fallen. Hive to destroy it Fallen to re-take it. After all, they see us as thieves, stealing the Traveller from them. The Traveller gave us the Light, technological advances, tripled human life span and has done so for hundreds of other species. It seeks a golden world. The Book of Sorrows virtually confirms that the Traveller isn't evil. To be honest, I know the Traveller was evil in the original story. But I'm glad it isn't, it would make little to no sense. Why would it grant us all these powers, technologies and etc. If it was evil? How would it sit above our city for centuries, without it being found out? How would it sit above our city of centuries without it literally killing us with Darkness. Long story short. That Artifact is from that Cult that cursed the Travellers light, because it brought its pursuer to us. It is not evil, if it was, it would counter a lot of points within the Book of Sorrows. It wouldn't even make sense in the long run.

It's a quote so take it as an opinion of the writer. I do think the traveler is more of a harbinger of the dark than the dark itself. Malevolent. See ya in year 10.

3 RepliesYou could also post the quote here to save people time and ensure more people actually see it.

2 RepliesThat's written by the fallen, it was theirs before it left them for us. Their servitors even mimic the spherical shape.

It's a quote from the Trinary Star cultists...

Did you read all of the current Books of Sorrow?

3 RepliesI think you've totally misunderstood the implied meaning. The Darkness chases the Traveler wherever is goes, so it is a veritable bringer of Darkness. It is not, however, a being of Darkness itself. I'm not convinced that its main objective is to be altruistic in the pursuit of life and freedom for all species, however. I think it's out to preserve itself and possibly some higher goal that is yet unseen.

That's a quote from a cult of conspiracy-theorist weirdos

The fallen call the traveler "God-Machine" It left the fallen and came to us humans. Then Rasputin did some shit to the traveler so it couldn't abandon us when the darkness came for it.

1 ReplyEdited by Soul Sleep: 10/26/2015 5:32:16 AMI disagree. The traveler is a bringer of life and light. Not death and darkness. Edit. I still think it'll ultimately be evil though. I just don't think your artifact is referencing the traveler.

It's a quote from a bunch of weirdos. It would be like taking a quote from the Tea Party and presenting it as either reasonable or fact.

3 RepliesThat's literally a quote. It's not "proof" or a fact. It's a random characters opinion. Still cool though.

2 RepliesEdited by Deathignis: 10/26/2015 5:21:21 AMDon't prove much. Could be interpreted differently.
