Seems a bit unfair to pvp players huh or at least sets them at a disadvantage lol
But w/e
EDIT: I guess my "seems a bit unfair comment" suggested I was complaining... Fret not I can clear that up, I'm merely pointing out the TINY advantage that some players will have... I found it amusing is all nothing serious. I look forward to enjoying both Hard Mode & Trials.
Also why is so many people's 1st instinct to comment on posts with something really cheesy & negative in mind? In turn my 1st response is obviously going to be rude. You get dealt with accordingly, simple.

I honestly think trials should have a light cap to make it even
-
5 RepliesSeems unfair that someone who accomplished more than me in game will have better gear in an endgame event? Just think about what you said again for a second and you will realize you are a moron
-
So do the raid. Boom problem solved.
-
2 RepliesWhy the hell can you not raid... Shit if any pvp only people want to run with some chill guys who also main pvp but are more then efficient in the raid in all the raids. Xbone gt nickfromarizona add me message me say what's up. #nomorecomplaining
-
5 RepliesIf you didn't realize light level cap is at 290.
-
2 RepliesI don't see how this is new? In HoW, the people who cleared PoE on 34/35 had an advantage because they reached 34 before everyone else.
-
Well obviously. You need good button skills and reactions for pvp so obviously pve will be a cake walk
-
2 RepliesSo why should trials be "fair"? This is one of the problems with today's world. Everything had to be fair for everyone... You people are hopeless.
-
3 RepliesWe have to PvP to get stuff, PvP has to pve to get theirs,
-
Even if I was 300 and playing against a 320, my thousand yard stare will still one shot to the head. ;)
-
No. Its not connected to each other
-
If the damage curve for Trials is that same that they have for Iron Banner, the difference between a 310 light and a 320 light will not be all that noticeable. At 1 delta on the iron banner curve (or 10 light levels) you were doing around 98% or 97% of the damage the higher level was doing. In a worst case scenario that would at most make it take one extra body shot to kill someone. So a very small advantage. My guess though is the weapons and armor found at the lighthouse will be at max attack and defense values just like they were for HoW, the items you get as random drops will probably be at random light levels.
-
The higher tier of pvp players find pve activities easy. Playing against AI over actual humans is extremely easy. Once mechanics are down, pve becomes the simplest thing ever. I have no problems with it lol
-
Seems fair to me. That way trials represents the best players overall. People who can excel at PvE and PvP. I am neither. :/
-
Skill trumps gear any day Besides 20 light level difference is about 5% difference in damage taken and given,.
-
Edited by BegFourMercy: 10/23/2015 5:15:24 PMVengance will be mine!!! I will be higher rank with the best weapons. My titam hammer will rule the universe. And then reality hits. Cheaters with aimbots, red bars, lag switchers will win.
-
1 ReplyMy hunter would rek them even with a 20 light difference.
-
Every 10 light = 1 level, iirc. With the update, 1 level = about 3% less damage, again iirc.

Meh it's not that big of a light difference and if you are good it won't mater
-
look at the dmg falloff chart - it'll make 3-5% difference at most. yeah, it'll eek you out of a couple gun fights you mightve otherwise lost, but it's a cherry on top, not a game changer
-
PVP or PVE It's the same game Play everything No problem
-
2 RepliesI'm 100% PvP but I enjoy doing raids and I'm definitely killing Oryx tonight.
-
6 RepliesPlayers who only play PvP shouldn't be playing destiny, this game is meant for raiding and story Iron banner is fun to get good gear But trials should be for the top percent in the game pve and PvP
-
I think that if you don't do a big part of the game you should be at a disadvantage. I hope the trials weapons are really good for PvE
-
What if, trials of Osiris was a pve gametype?
