Nirwen's Mercy - believe the hype
This isn't the new Hopscotch Pilgrim, this is what Hopscotch Pilgrim wanted to be.
Recoil? What's recoil? I don't even remember anymore.
I thought this gun looked incredible just from the stats, so I bought it as soon as I was able and upgraded it immediately. It's even better than I expected. If you think a lot of people are whining about Red Death, just wait until this thing starts becoming more common. Holy mother-blam!-ing balls.
Now, if I could only decide which sights/scope to use...[spoiler]Seriously, which one? I can't decide.[/spoiler]
Edit: I should clarify. It's not so much what Hopscotch wanted to be, as it is what [b][i]I[/i][/b] wanted Hopscotch to be. :p

3 Repliesif you have a hopscotch, you would know this is the new/new hopscotch for ttrials and IB,. my old hopscotch is still better, hidden hand and feeding frenzy with a tighter shot...but yeah bungie gave all you scrubs free year 2 hopscotches..

2 RepliesNothing will compare to the Hopscotch. There were two legendary weapons that were singled out for a specific nerf with the 2.0 update. Black Hammer and Hopscotch Pilgrim. It was that good once you rolled the right perks. Black Hammer good. Still miss that gun. I have it in my vault to remind me of the good times, but it isn't the same weapon since the nerf.

Don't get me wrong, Nirwen's Mercy is no Hopscotch, Three Little Words or Messenger, or even Spare Change .25 with a good roll, and it's taking some adaptation to get used to not having the same impact and range, but it suits my play style perfectly. By the way, use the ranged sight.

12 RepliesGot it yesterday, leveled it up and infused it to 295, went back into IB, and got wrecked. I'm sorry but it's just a 'decent' pulse rifle at best. It doesn't even hold a candle to my Hawksaw with Perfect balance, head seeker, and small bore. My HS is so OP it doesn't even feel like a challenge destroying other players with it. lol

I love mine. I use the vendor one because the two that dropped for me had horrible perks. But love it and it is my main weapon for everything.
