So what's got you depressed right now?
Won't lie feel completely like garbage right now :/ so tell me fellow gamers what's got you down at the moment?
Edit: 600 replies its nice to know we're not alone out there. i'll be honest this post has really helped it's nice to see the support everyone's giving each other Thankyou :)

Not depressed like I used to be, but I take sleeping pills just to be able to sleep. If I didn't, I'd be up all night with me and my mind. I play destiny all day to keep my mind off it too. It's my grades and my ex I miss very much. But I will go to college and do better and be successful. And I will get over my ex who misses me as well. We both miss eachother but I don't trust her anymore. I think you feel me.

Depression got me depressed. The fact that we wake up every day of our lives and try to contribute to society either by working a 8hr day job or 14hr day on a salary pay scale. To wake up and deal with shit people only to front an image that isn't true. To think in the back of your mind, "Hey, I'm not gonna have enough food or gas until Friday." There are days where I just stand in the shower and in that moment, the stress from everyday life is gone. With enough pressure as it is being an adult, we push on. We push because we want to live, to feel, and to make an impact in somebody's life. Well I do anyways. What have you done in your life that improved the lives of others?

12 RepliesExistential angst. Clinical depression. But mostly the fact that I can't share my sexual preference with my family for fear of judgment or negative reaction. Not that they would actually reject me. Just the overwhelming fear of the 1% chance that they might. And that I have to keep my love a secret. To all of you who have had a first love, do you remember how you wanted to tell everyone you saw how in love you are. That's what I want but I've been hiding it for almost 2 years. It weighs on me but I'm coming close to being ready to come out.

Don't let depression win, you have to fight it. Clean your head, put on some music get outside and get some vitamin D. It's hard to fight I know I fight it every day and laugh at it. It can be done smile more fine things in life to make you smile. You can do it!

Life is a real challenge at times. There are some people who simply do not "get it" when someone is depressed - they just can't wrap their heads around the concept that a person could be so impacted by depression. I suspect some of these folks other are blessed with glorious minds, others simply unable to believe it.... There are a litany of things that can drag us down, from love life to finance through loss of loved ones. When you can pinpoint your seed o depression, that's a good start. I have a quote from a book i like - "Don't fight living, fight to live no matter how tired you might be." Oh - and my anxiety is almost always finance related! Always worried 'bout making ends meet!

I'm only 33. I went to college on a full athletic scholarship... and now my wife has to put my socks on for me. Feeling frustrated, angry, anxious, embarrassed, depressed and pathetic. Pain. It wears you down...
