Every post on lfg is the same thing.
"Must be experienced"
"Must know fights"
"Must have emblem"
How the hell so you expect people to know the raid if you don't want to help the community and teach it.
I still haven't even done it and I'm getting tired of this garbage.
First you were excluded if you couldn't cheese, Then if you didn't have ghorn now it's because you aren't 300+ light. This is ridiculous.
Edit 1: So many notifications.
Edit 2:I'm on the Daughters of Oryx right now
Edit 3:You people are still replying?
Edit 4:Last night we got to the Daughters with no youtube guides. You people who've been saying the same thing over and over can shove it.

I've seen a lot of these posts lately, obviously. Those that know how to do it already put in the time to learn it. They want to get through it, not teach people how to do it. That, in my opinion, is fair. At least they're being honest about it. My suggestion is make your own post on LFG. State that you are looking for other first timers to learn the Raid with. I'm not trying to be mean, but, in the time it took you to post your woes, you could have posted on LFG and started the first step to enjoy the Raid. Good luck, may you drink the blood of Oryx soon.

2 Repliesyou're just mad because you haven't found a group to beat it with yet. Find a group and stick with it until you beat it. No one is going to carry you through the whole raid .
-
Because the hardcore players who put the time and effort in to beat it week 1 don't feel like teaching randoms over and over again. Why don't you get some people together who haven't beaten the raid yet and actually learn the fight like we had to.
-
1 ReplyThe only time I ask people for experience is if my friend and I do not have time on our hands and have to finish quickly or not wanting to deal with people who just will not listen. This raid especially compared to the others is very hard to explain and well unfortunately and not to be rude to be anyone but a lot of destiny players are not exactly the smartest. Even when you explain time and time again and even show them the mechanics and still mess up you get hours on end with getting nowhere and it gets well annoying. :/ Now granted some of the vets can be annoying as well as they will not listen to other strats if theirs is not working and if they mess up will not admit it leaving you also leading you nowhere which happened to me with Golgorath the first time as I kept suggesting different strats but they did not listen even though we were going on an hour and a half on that boss. The best thing in all honesty besides looking up videos on the boss. But if you are wanting to go in blind like I did say you are willing to listen and are a good learner because even at the totems their description was confusing but I got it after watching and learning the mechanics. And if you are going to go into a group with absolutely no one who knows anything about the raid... uhm... good luck.

Raids are not for casuals, but they seem to be the highlight of the game. I hate grinding, only play what is enjoyable for me. Seeing as many are unwilling to share their knowledge seems to reflect the amount of suffering they endured, I think I'll pass, lol, don't want to end up like poor Eris. I have come to the conclusion the game is fun for me in tiny doses but I will probably never experience a raid for reasons that are too lengthy and not interesting enough for most to list here.
-
1 ReplyMake your own group then. If someone asks for experience, it doesnt effect you in the slightest. I usually have a limited time window so i need people who know what their doing, so of coarse i require experience.
-
posts like this are ridiculous.. 290s raiding for the first time can simply make their own post, and experience the raid with other first timers like we all did.. people arent under obligation to teach you the raid.. some people just want a quick and easy run.. -.- NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT
-
Make your own group. Most of us who make those posts (guilty as charged) don't have 5+ hours to work with inexperienced people. Nothing against you guys who haven't done it yet.
-
I can empathise with people wanting to be able to do a fast, efficient raid run, as that's part of the point of levelling up and getting better gear - feeling like you're getting more powerful and becoming a badass who flies through the toughest challenges in the game. Plus, some people are at the point where they are just grinding for raid gear, and that's also cool. However, there is also the fact that it eventually starts to lock people out who haven't done the raid before. After all, my raid group haven't been able to meet up that often recently, so if it weren't for a group of very nice randoms (now no longer randoms of course) inviting me along yesterday, I wouldn't have had a chance to do the raid for who knows how long. I think the solution is to post on lfg looking for a team rather than trying to find teams looking for people. There are nice people out there who are willing to take people through the raid, and a good few people still wanting to go in blind. The trick is finding them, which can often just be a matter of luck.

There's this thing that came out recently call YouTube
-
I always have requirements. That's how I did almost 3 runs in 3.5 hours yesterday. Keep being mad.
-
2 RepliesEver heard of YouTube. Can just watch the fights. There you go experienced
-
Wait for the weekend. If people have that many restrictions on a weekend then they are something which I'm not allowed to say because Ninjas.
-
I want someone that knows they are doing. Experience? No. Just watch the videos and understand the fights and you're fine. If you need to ask questions, go for it! I'll be glad to help.
-
Edited by ya maybe bro: 9/30/2015 1:49:02 PMHow many times are people going to make this exact same post. It's called starting your own group, go to lfg or recruitment and make a post saying "lfg kings fall raid, no experience necessary" all the other people like you will join on you and you'll all have an awesome time. The end.
-
i only ask that you are 290+ light, which is fair considering thats whats recommended. i dont mind showing new people the ropes, as long as their willing to learn
-
We helped a guy that was 281 light at start with no mic. We got all the way to the daughters before his lack of jumping skills held us back. It is very possible to do this with someone that isn't 290+ hopefully they will get drops to raise their light level. It comes down to communication! We beat the war priest without wiping also!
-
My team of 5 carried our friend who didn't know anything about the raid and first tried everything except deathsingers :p
-
Maybe I'm just looking at the wrong times, but whenever I look there's atleast 2 (usually more) groups of completely fresh people looking for other fresh people, or a group just okay with newer players. You could also start your own...
-
I just request that people know the mechanics of the fight, I don't even care if it was learned through videos.
-
go learn the fight by youtube so you won't be a leech on your team?
-
Edited by waarborn: 9/30/2015 10:10:30 AMLearn the fights it's annoying having to spend 5 minutes explaining it to only end up wiping because the person/people who don't know mess up. Who cares about the emblem just know what to do at every fight.
-
The raid just came out, once people get more comfortable with it they will stop caring how experienced their teammates are
-
1 ReplyEdited by Jareco: 9/30/2015 7:11:31 AMI read that as "rant about fingers".
-
I dont get it why it gets ppl so upset... Their group means their rules aply.
-
If you're already going on lfg, it's not that hard to make your own fire team. Problem solved
