Reforging is coming back - AWESOME!!!

Hell yes!!!
It'll be ideal if they bring reforging back BEFORE the next ToO - that way, the playing field will be more balanced.
I'm already seeing quite a few people getting snipers with Hidden Hand, shotguns with reinforced barrel + shot package, Rockets with tripod and grenades and horseshoes, etc....... And many other legendaries with all the right perks for a PvP advantage.
If they don't bring reforging back sooner, then those lucky snowflakes will have a slew of advantages in PvP activities like Iron Banner and ToO. Reforging must come back - FAST!!!!
I hope that they make reforging different than before, especially when it comes to getting the same crappy rolls over and over again.
When I got my first Ash Factory, it took me a total of 79x reforges until I got one with Tripod + Grenades and Horseshoes. And........ I did not stop there, I continued reforging because it did not have Javelin in the middle column.
All and all, it took my around 130 something reforges until I got my first Ash Factory with Tripod + Grenades and Horseshoes + Javelin.
I don't need to explain why a Ash Factory (or Radgast) with that roll is a beast in all PvP activities.
I've seen Ash Factories just straight up stop with those perks on them. If it wasn't for reforging, then those few lucky snowflakes would have been the only ones with "god tier" rocket launchers.
Reforging is what balanced the playing field, and made so that the lucky snowflakes didn't have too great of an advantage.

1 ReplySo what was the point of removing it? Bungie too incompetent to fix it earlier? I wish they let the guys who did WoW to oversee what Bungie is doing, several updates and they still don't now shit about balance and fixing problems

4 RepliesThere shouldn't be a reroll of weapons. If you want better perks, you need to earn it. Anyone who doesn't like Xur should hate rerolling. If not, they are hypocrites

I disagree.Reforging ruined pvp in this game for me.Going to be an interesting first IB and I'm looking forward to it.I hope it is just limited to IB weapons if it were to return.

I'm happy there is no reforging right now. Sorry to see its coming back but that's just my opinion I know a lot of people like it.

Its probably for armor. Before the TTK dropped there was some rumors/articles that armor might be able to be reforged. I really hope weapon reforging will never be added again.

5 RepliesAs someone who constantly went to the gunsmith to reforge stuff I say leave it behind because it made running prison and other stuff feel rather moot pretty quick. Up until the week before ttk I was always watching goth or broman on twitch or playing borderlands

3 RepliesRe-rolling is bad for the game, look what happened when HoW dropped and we could re-roll all our own weapons. Everybody was running round with near perfect weapons, well in my case anyway. I didn't have a single weapon that wasn't rolled to my play style. Which for me ruined the fun of the game. We should just have to put up with whatever perks we get, so that when you find another weapon with slightly better perks there is a reason to swap to it. Once I had the weapons I wanted and the perks I wanted I didn't give any weapon I picked up a second glance because I knew I already had something either the same, or better

2 RepliesIf they brought reforging back it should only be good for a one or two time reroll and if you try to reroll the same gun again it dismantles it.

It would make sense to have only the guns from the gunsmith packages be re-rollable. And armor as well.

Being able to reforge every weapon from House of Wolves was one of the worst things to happen to Destiny. At first it seemed like a great idea, but then in a few weeks everyone in PvP was using the exact same, perfectly reforged weapons, and it made for no variety, and lots of reliance on broken weapons with overpowered, broken perk setups. Reforging should have always stayed on Iron Banner weapons only, and should have continued to cost 2 Motes per reforge, plus weapon parts and glimmer. I really really hope they don't ever bring it back.

Reforging encourages min/maxers to reforge weapons with OP perks to use in PvP that cause nerfs that affect PvE. I'll pass thanks...

Um you can just buy the Rocket launcher from the Crucible Handler with tripod and grenades and horseshoes. Look around before you complain. The Dead Orbit shot gun has loads of range perks, Crowd Control and Rangefinder. So what lucky snowflakes? I would go on about snipers but I already did a whole bunch of research you didn't so you're on your own for the Sniper Rifle I agree reforging should come back but please quit making a case for it, cause your examples are a pretty poor case....

Only for iron banner gear. You should have to do a lot of work to be able to attain a reforgable weapon.
