It's true. When I see the game of Destiny, or take a dive in it, I look at Hunters like they don't even belong in the game.
Yeah, they're great medics, they're great for defeating a mass amount of targets, but in my opinion, (and I'm not saying you have to agree) Hunters don't look like something you'd expect to see in Destiny.
I have one empty slot, and have been always thinking about creating a hunter, but the idea never truly accepts itself into my head.
Plus, they're sort of... Jerks. The perception of Titans is, "Fight until we die, no matter what" and the perception of Warlocks is, "Infinite Knowledge" which relates to me very strongly considering I usually love Learning.
But Hunters are just, "Live for the perfect kill. We kill things. We loot things. We have things. Master race.".
Master race for what? I'm not looking for answers on this question about how powerful Hunters are. I'm looking into the ideals of Hunters. What they fight for besides just soloing everything for their own selfish gain. They never accept any sort of assistance, and when we save their necks, they don't appreciate what a full team can do if they joined one.
It's like they're only entitled to one thing only, and that's their own self-gain, and what they earn out of it. There's no interest behind Hunters...
Titans are Noble.
Warlocks are Wise.
Hunters are ____.
You fill in the blanks.
Disclaimer: I don't want Y'all to think I'm hating on Hunters because I'm really not. I just wanted a Logical explanation and I just got a few logical answers. And I can say I am quite convinced by them too. Well done. I apologize for calling Hunters, "Jerks". For those whom all changed the outcome in a positive way, thank you for sharing your opinions.
And please don't cherry-pick out quotes I've made to make it sound like everything else I've stated doesn't help and is Irrelevant. Read the extras, otherwise you'll wish you had after making a silly post.
I know how that stuff works.
Can I just point out that I'm over 900 comments now and I've already got a few logical answers regarding the Hunter already?
Therefore, those whom are trying so desperately hard to explain to me in their own way, it doesn't matter anymore because it's already done and over with. I'm not going to search for your comment amongst hundreds. Lol

Your really into this game dude.

Hunters are free. They are the ones who don't care, who travel alone. They might not be the bravest or the mightiest, but that's not their point. What they do is go out there, further than anyone, alone. And come back with useful intel.

1 ReplyEdited by Wolfe: 9/29/2015 5:42:00 PMHunters are scouts, Simple enough. In even more simpler terms they are "space cowboys". A true hunter may be self centered and a bit like "I don't really care" at times, they are a ranger who is in depth with their precision. Titans built and defend the last city, warlocks study our enemies and the magic of controlling the known elements, Hunters gather the data on our enemies and the elements, along with scouting out areas. The reason hunters prefer to work alone in the wild is because you are more likely to be discovered if you are in a group.

Hunter = rogue Warlock = wizard Titan = warrior Pretty common classes from a lot of fantasy rpg games.
-
Dive into lore and ignore what the fourms say about hunters....were actually really cool......
-
I think hunters look the most like a destiny character. Warlocks look like they belong at a masquerade ball and titans just look like master chief.
-
1 ReplyPersonally, hunters fit into the game more than any other class, it's a desolate, post-apocalyptic wasteland, hooded, knife wielding badasses thrive in that kind of environment.
-
Hunters are the ones to explore what the Darkness did to our solar system first hand. Warlocks try to understand what happened and titans are there to secure it doesn't get worse :)
-
if you can shoot it, it can die
-
1 Replylol Titans love to hate hunters. Titans are the least chill class in destiny. Bunch of haters
-
2 RepliesWhy don't you make a hunter, unlock the Nightstalker subclass mission and watch the cutscene?
-
2 RepliesIkora said it best. WE NEED A WARLOCK IN THE DREADNAUGHT
-
1 ReplyIt's a GAME dude, chill out...

Hunters are pragmatic. We find ways to get things done. A Titan will face a threat down and might kill themselves fighting it. A Warlock might come up with a solution and be able to triumph... If they have enough support to think it through. A Hunter will come up with a solution on the fly that might just be crazy enough to work.
Your job on the fire team is to answer the question "Can we kill that thing?" Make sure the answer is always "Yes."
Hunters are: sneaky.
-
Hunters are bold
-
I'm not gonna curse you out or anything but I think didn't quite get the idea of hunters. Hunters are about lone ranger we Stive alon in the wild though we value a team we but we still can hold our own. And ya we live for the perfect shot but this kinda is a FPS.
-
At first I thought: "Why make a Hunter?" Then I made one. Now it's my second favorite class.
-
seriously how old are you?
-
I swear you all need to quit hating on a class. They all are in the game, get over it you children.
-
I main Hunter and I love when people help me...yea I take pride in being able to solo many, many things in this game, but without warlocks and Titans by my side I'd not be able to do half the things I have!
-
Hunters are well hunters lol they're like ninja. scout areas for crap and report back to the city. They must be able to survive alone my guess is for long missons. Easier to send one guy in and get Intel then risk a whole squad with to much risk of getting caught. Bam lone wolves! XD

Witty

4 RepliesEdited by Red: 9/29/2015 4:42:13 AMIn lore Hunters are smarter than warlocks which is part reason why they're feuding, Warlocks are mad that Hunters aren't using their knowledge to full potential. Read the lore. Without us, TTK would stink! The whole storyline is worthwhile because of Cayde. Like aFi1thyCasual said, Cayde got shit done! We wouldn't even be on the Dreadnaught, we'd probably even be dead. Also out of everyone in the Vanguard, Cayde is the only one with a personality and he's a robot; We got dickless the clown, Forever on her period, and Corey Mathews
-
Go watch the cutscenes before you get night stalker in the TTK. You will get some answers
-
Hunters are survivors, rebels and badasses.
