To those requiring "295+" trying to get the Black Spindle
You're absolutely right.
I ran it with 3 of us at 295, 295, and 296.
Could. Not. Do it.
Probably need raid weapons for the damage bonus to taken. This quest is ROUGH
EDIT: wow. Lots of people on here disagree! I must have had an inferior group lol.
I suppose I DID spend a lot more time reviving than I should've had to during the boss :/
Edit: almost 1000 replies. Holy shitballs Batman!
Edit: my phone has exploded. Lots of success stories in here!
Unfortunately, by the time my team and I finally got it, we finished a minute after reset. Literally ONE. MINUTE!

You do not want to die at the boss! My team and I (all 296-298) spent the entire time in the first area of the boss room, and no one died. Always back off when you're weak. Do not tempt fate. We went in with aggressive supers to take out blights and adds to continuously make orbs. It's hard, but not that hard, if know what I mean. It does take a bit of skill, awareness and evasiveness. I allowed my team mates to attack the boss non-stop, whilst using my storm caller to wipe adds.

I got it with 2 290s and a 284, it just takes proper add management along with damage on the boss

Did it in one try. Had a 293 Hunter, 291 Lock and 290 Hunter (me).

I did it with a lfg group first try together. we were all 295 and I ran storm caller and one guy used a max void sword. we went in there n went ham. that sword did a lot of the killing also. o and this bs you need a Titan is a lie

We completed it with myself (294), my brother (255), and a friend (300).

Edit: my bad put 191 and 189 instead of 291 and 289

3 RepliesTwo defenders w/ saint-14 and one shadow stalker. Have the titans pop their bubbles on the platform where the boss is, one blessing and one weapons. The hunter will shoot his arrow at the boss to debuff him. Now have everyone use their most damaging weapon on him, preferably the new exotic swords and heavy attack the hell out if him. [spoiler]Yes, weapons of light works on swords.[/spoiler] Once he is down, destroy all of the black orbs. Do not worry about adds yet. After the orbs are down, you should have roughly 2-3 minutes left. Slowly make a loop around the room together killing adds, try to have a good variation of elemental damage to deal with the more annoying adds. Congratulations, you now have the black spindle and/or the sick new ship.

No raid gear or weapons, but had a guy with exotic dark drinker and he destroyed every Ade in sight . Got the exotic and the ship dropped for me . RNGESUS .

We focused on boss guy more than anything. We didnt have raid gear at all. I think about the same light levels as u 3. Was a bitch but we just killed the main guy first with 2 sword spammers, a rocket, and had like less than 10 seconds to spare. It was close but Id say it was not luck in any way shape or form, but just having the pure [i]will[/i] of saints to complete such a dastardly mission. Btw all 310 spindles are said to be nerfed to 290 asap

My team consited of a 291, and two 284's. We honestly didn't have much of a problem. We ended up cutting it about 15 seconds before the timer ended, but we did it.

A 296,295, and myself as a 293. My team did it on our first try last night and I was so happy!

I ran it today and finished 2nd in kills. Ran it at light lvl 273 as well. Scrubs have requirements. Real players just do it.

I'd say storm caller and sun breaker more essential used my wife's Titan and other member had storm caller cleared adds so quickly we had almost 8 minutes for the boss the both these under 290 at the time

I was 296 with my 289 friend and we managed to do it. Hunter and titans abilities working together is a treat. With the right set up on the hunter. You'll have unlimited super.

I was 174 and my friend was 189 and we got it by ourselves. It was challenging but we did it.

298 293 286 first boss encounter 286 had no mic but we weren't randoms and were highly experienced (I have about 48 days played in destiny)

I did it I was only 280 with 2 290s just communicate like a raid, have a Titan bubble. Did it second try last night, you'll get it just have to keep going at it.
