I'm sure a lot of people have a lot of obligations that they need to get done everyday before they can even think about playing destiny. Whether you can only get game time on the weekends, can only spare about an hour a day, or find time to squeez a half hour or so between the events of everyday life.
Breaking 300 and completing kings fall might be plausible for normal people who work a nine to five, but lets face it. Students like me who are at school 6 hours (give or take) a day and work 30-40 hours a week can have a hard time getting there grind on.
This thread is for people to share the tips on time managment, life hacks, ect. That helps us get in our oh so valubal stress relief of game time.
And for the record, if your in a similar situation to me and can even hit 280, your a legend in my book ;)
Edit: please forgive and gramatical errors, kinda wrote this on my phone walking across campus to class
Edit 2: It looks like theres a lot of folks here who are pretty badass in game and irl. I'd love some advice how you all make it happen
Edit 3: by the way im 291
Edit 4: I indeed have a girlfriend, that seams to be super important to everyone, she is an art major at the same school i go to.
Edit 5: mechanical engineering major

I'm 17, have 2 jobs, and go to school. I'm still a 310 Titan with a 1 hard mode oryx kill and 4 on normal
-
You're only cool if you're 290.
-
1 ReplyI'm a Texas Ranger and kill people for fun! You seem pretty insignificant compared to that!
-
4 RepliesEdited by Aerobic: 9/22/2015 2:56:49 PMSure everything you're doing is great but you lack humility. You can be the greatest person ever but if all you do is show off about it than you just seem like a douche.

Weak be Chem major..... Jk in all seriousness.... Cool

314 Warwick 315 titan 315 Hunter, 4.0 GPA major in civil engineering, 4th year, 35.5 hours of school per week, have a girlfriend, problem?

1 ReplyAnd you felt a need to post this, why?
-
Nobody cares. Justifying your life to random people on a video game forum screams insecurity.
-
OP unclear, dick stuck in his girlfriend.

Full time student, working since I was 7, all A's, social life, 300+ light, 290+ on all character. Here's a ladder, get on my level

2 RepliesI've got a race car and still have a 293. Race cars suck up more time than anything else.
-
Keep up the good work!

Man as far everything goes with both school and work, your doing a great job! Keep up the good work! Stay focused and keep a positive attitude! There will always be time for Destiny! Even if it's every now and then! Trust me I should know! I just finished my four years while having a full time job. It was stressful as -blam!- but you just gotta learn that Destiny isn't as important when you have priorities to attain too first. THEN -blam!- shot up on Destiny to yur best of ability! ^___^
-
Lol everyone always asks about the girlfriend part.
-
Full time student senior part time worker and marine delayed entry program 295light I feel you we find a way to get shit done Idk how but we do

1 ReplyHow often do you jack off
-
Damn dude. I don't know how you find the time talk about how great you are....

2 RepliesSure, you're good at managing time, but your last edit shows that you're just as rude as those who are insulting you for messing up your grammar. I'm a computer science student, have a teaching job, an apartment, a pet, good grades, and a guardian with more than 291 light, and you don't see me bragging about it, nor do you see me telling people that they'll be unemployed for correcting my grammar. You should pay attention to your grammar. My new internship, which I was offered only a couple weeks ago, had interviews that made sure I knew how to properly articulate my thoughts, with correct grammar, even though I'll just be programming, which has nothing to do with writing proper English. All of my interviews have tested my ability to properly articulate myself. Regardless of your profession, proper grammar is important. You will eventually meet with someone who will disregard you for poor grammar, as it shows you put little thought into your writing. Saying "I'm not an English major" is just an excuse. Use whatever grammar you want here, but don't have that same attitude in the professional world - it will come to bite you in the ass.

Engineer with a girlfriend and job, I have a 3.5 but beat oryx so I guess you give up exactly .05 of your gpa to do so hahahaha! Good for you man nice to see other people who play destiny be hard workers as well

University 1 tryna get into Faculty of Kin: Athletic Therapy. Part time at McDonalds. Props to all you busy people who still find time to play, I have it easy compared to some of you.

Full-Time work for Apple (corporate). Full-Time student (20 "Dean-approved" credit hours towards my B.A. MIS degree). Full-Time father of a 1 year old. Getting married next month. All while managing my household's finances and upkeep. ... this, all while rocking a 289 Warlock, 260 Hunter, and 230-something Titan. We all have our stories. It's actually cool to meet people that love Destiny as much and carve time out when possible to play.

Edited by IRGeekSauce: 9/22/2015 4:23:20 PMI have a full time job (10-12 hrs/day), kids (3 girls at home and my daughter every other weekend), I attended night/weekend classes through community college, then moved to online courses at University of Illinois. I'm taking 10 credit hours, and it can be more challenging than being in a physical classroom, especially with classes such as Programming and Calculus. My hunter is 290 and I'm still keeping my grades up. I did it in two weekends. It is possible to manage time. You're an engineering major? Sweet. Computer Science here. :-)

Light is irrelevant. Total play time is. Full time student doing a double degree Business owner Freelance Artist Currently taking care of my parents in hospital..... Yet I still manage to make time for Destiny. Alot of it. It's all about proper time management.
