Do YOU want ALL your Y1 Exotics brought up to Y2 damage?
Simple question.
DeeJ said in an interview that he doesn't want us to look at our favorite weapon and consider it obsolete. I look at my Ballerhorn, Thorn, Dragon's Breath and...they're obsolete. Just a poll to see where the community stands. Bump so Cozmo can see.
Edit: Woke up to a billion notifications. Thanks for all the feedback. But you guys that say "Oh, well no because gjally never left my heavy slot." That's your own fault. There were plenty of decent heavies in Year One. You guys were too chickenshit to try them. Thunderlord and Dragon's Breath, in many cases, can do just as much damage as Gjally can, if not more. Especially post 2.0. And I don't care if Gjally stays in my inventory for the next ten years, I have a story with a weapon I love.
Edit 2: Seeing a lot of people being open to the idea, but leaving Gjallarhorn behind. In all honesty, I'm completely fine with this. Gjallarhorn is an amazing weapon, but it's lethality was ridiculous. As long as I can have all my other exotic weapons and armor, I'll be fine. Keep bumping and commenting! We've been trending for a while! Get Cozmo to see and comment on this!

Raid, ToO and PoE gear and weapons should be able to be brought up to Y2... Nothing else.

1 ReplyThe thorn for instance was a mistake all together and all of these (needed) weapons made the game unplayable for guardians who didn't either have the time to grind or wasn't mercied by rng , u needed a fate bringer, gally or other specific weapons to play with a group for a raid. I can be one of the best players in destiny but what because I don't have these specific weapons I can't get a group for a raid or night fall that's not fair to those players u think they chose what to get and not get -_-, with this system they implemented it's more fair to everyone and easier to find a group . Yeah u need to be of certain "light level" but that's easier than saytn oh I need the [touch of malice to only join the raid group } < analogy...{ oh lol and ignore the grammatical errors I'm speed typing and idc to check }

2 RepliesI say ONLY Raid gear should be brought to Y2 versions because these are endgame content. Any other gear definitely not! I'm so surprised that Bungie didn't make a Y2 version of VoG and CE gear...

At first, I hated the idea of gear getting left behind, but the more I've thought about it, the more I think it's better weapons cycle out. The game needs to stay fresh, and Fatebringer for ten years isn't exactly fresh. They should, however, allow gear glamour. I'd love to still show off my VoG gear.

Having played Kings Fall I like the fact that Machine Guns are King. Even as a lover of Gally I'm glad it's gone for now. I'd like all the weapons eventually though.

If they do get brought up it needs to cost something so that you have to pick and choose. Or maybe they make it so that you can only raise like 2 year one weapons to make it more interesting and you get to bring up your favourite, idk just an idea

Anything classified as exotic should be upgradable each time the attack/defense numbers rise. Otherwise, they are not exotic.

I would prefer them to be brought up. Been playing with them since day 1 and would love to continue to earn the rest of them and use them. Plus it would create a more diverse library of exotics to use!

I say no, because the game finally feels fresh again. I'm not using any year 1 gear anymore, and it feels great. The weapons were great while they lasted, but it's time to move on

2 RepliesI like icebreaker. It was such s great utility weapon for pve. It's the one y1 weapon that's really missed. I went 5-6 months w/out a gjally and never had any problems w pve end game content. It just made things quicker once I got it. But the IceBreaker? It was that one single weapon you could use literally for everything, everywhere, never pop a synth, never even need to switch guns.

I just want my icebreaker, bones of eao and kephris sting. It took too long to get my bones and then I had them ripped away from me. Ripped I say! But I'm pretty sure they'll be brought over soon enough since hunters didn't get any y2 exotic legs and we only have those and radiant dance machines. Personally I prefer the bones.

I don't think they should bring all weapons into year, they should leave the powerhouses behind, but bring the weapons that never had their chance to shine. For example, hardlight, necrochasm, dragons breath, all PoE weapons, the weapons that were never great, but I would really like the option to use
