It has been out less than 48 houers, how the -blam!- can some people demand that you have to know what to do?
Edit: So, it seems like alot of you agree with me, some dont. I understand that people want to do it with players that knows what to do if you already tried a specific boss and failed 100 times. I'm going for my virgin run tomorrow and I have no clue what to expect! I'm hyped like -blam!-!

3 RepliesFrom now on you can't raid with me unless you have two cats, where white Jordan's, have a waist size of 32 and not a single centimeter more, own a bmw, left handed, played every Mario and Pokemon games, read all the twilight books, seen broke back mountain and secretly thought it was a good movie, played with barbies, done a spinning backflip into a pool, eaten a large triple whopper meal with coke and a four piece nugget, built a five foot tall sand castle when you were five while with your grandparents on an 87 degree July day, seen every episode of Buffy the vampire slayer, likes ketchup on your hotdogs, single cause so am I, wrestled a 300 pound mountain lion while you were picking berries last Saturday and well I guess that's good enough
-
It's almost as if people who don't know what they are doing won't complete the raid
-
Ive never done it, i dont know what to do, i havent played much and my light aint high enough yet, but before i do the raid, ill watch a video of it so i kind of know what to do.

I don't mind playing with people that have never played but the raid has been out for far too long for people to have never seen any gameplay of it. Unless you're walking in blind as a fireteam you don't deserve to play with others until you do some research. After that it's very easy to teach someone how to play
-
Then find a group that wants to go in blind from the start. Not a group who has been stuck at Oryx for the last 10 hours.....
-
It's called "watch tutorial videos" Or make your own group. Simple
-
The people that want only experienced teams for the raid spend a long time failing the encounters over and over again in order to know what to do. I for example spent eight hours on oryx failing over and over again. Can you really blame people for not wanting to go through that process again. I will gladly explain encounters and take a couple new people through the raid but on oryx I'm asking for experienced people. Maybe that makes me a dick.
-
Don't worry man those guys are just dicks
-
2 RepliesI'm 50/50 on it. On one hand, I don't like new players holding the team back, but on the other, I don't like people who've already beaten it telling Me about the parts I haven't seen yet.
-
2 RepliesMy fireteam were at oryx and a guy decided mot to join because all our light was around 290
-
It's so u don't have to explain but personally I wanted to go in blind and it was way more fun to figure it out ourselves but I did it with my friends so I didn't try fourms
-
I do agree that asking for actual exp in the raid is kind off wierd as for now. But i do think its fair that a fireteam leader asks the recruit if they know the fights in theory, because there are plenty of vids and guides on the internet that explain how to do said encounters etc. I think its fair, that if your new to the raid that you should do your research on it so i kind off expect that you do it. if you do your showing the will to clear it wich is important as no one really likes to run trough a guy that did not prepare for the raid.
-
11 RepliesToday i ran into a party leader demanding every a light lvl of 290, hes never ran the raid at all. And demanding shit like that when all of us our 180ish and have exp with it...

read my mind.

5 sherpas and 1 noob is the only way to raid when learning for the first time. For me I'd rather have 5 people who know what they're doing to help me learn the mechanics than go in with all noobs and have no idea what's going on. Let the no lifers and elitists figure out all the beginning shit.
-
This is one example of why I don't raid with people on the forums.
-
11 RepliesIt's very complex and requires nearly perfect coordination to execute. I'm on Oryx right now and would want a strong team who knows what they are doing. We had Oryx down to zero health (final round to shoot him) and only had 3 up so we didn't quite get it, but we will. Everyone needs to be a strong player as everyone has an essential part to play. Lots of groups want to go in blind, so it's easy to find one if that's what you want. Remember, for people stuck on a boss for hours and hours, they don't want to spend even more time on it with someone who just doesn't know.
-
A i agree with those say we must know what to do if you watched YouTube videos but obviously agree with how we won't know what to do if we haven't achieved it yet our selfs the first time.
-
Because by now if your serious about beating it, you would know what to do
-
7 RepliesI've soloed it twice since it released. That being said, if anybody wants to be carried, you must be 299+ light level and PayPal me $10. Happy hunting, guardians!!
-
Some people don't have hours upon hours to play at a time so having people that know what they are doing make it easier to complete it within your time frame.
-
I completely understand this, but when you explain a fight after fight it gets boring so, sometimes we fo ask for people to know
-
The raid has been out for two days, your not going to be carried through it that fast, your gonna have to go in and learn. That may mean going in with others that need to learn too. That's what everyone who has experience did too, basically all they are asking for in all their criteria is someone that is going to help them, not be helped by them, they aren't good and you would also be wasting your time going in with them. So, just stop posting all together please as you don't understand either a) what is needed to beat this raid or any raid with zero help from the Internet or b)the understanding of simple human communication, which this raid requires you have real, practical communication skills.

Watch a video or read a guide.
