So last night my son (10 years old) was playing Destiny to complete his last objective on the Moments of Triumph. He was playing with 2 people he found on LFG. He had spend 3 hours playing with them and was one or two Gjallahorn shots from beating the final level when the two players from LFG said "Hey kid, you know whats funny?" and they kicked him from the fireteam. He was destroyed. He loves Destiny and mowed lawns all summer to pre-pay for the Taken King. If there happens to be anyone with a heart, a few hours for PoE 35, and a PS4, please reply to this. I wish there was more I could do for him, but maybe this will help.

My son is 8 he loves the game and wrecks in the crucible, I always play with him and monitor who he plays with as there are so many dicks, but there are also a lot of nice gamers out there, just be chose your friends carefully and he will enjoy the game and get the most out of what it has to offer.

Kicking anyone at the end is pathetic behaviour. That said, as a parent of 2 kids myself personally I wouldn't let a 10 year old play this with strangers off LFG.
-
4 RepliesI don't like gaming with kids. Regardless of what you all think of the parenting, the booting at the end was bs. I will back out of parties with random kids, but I'd never wait till end and kick them.

4 RepliesAnyone saying this parent is 'bad' for letting his son play a 12+ game, get a life man. I bet half of you gamers have played and loved games that you should not be playing haha And most of us have turned out fine. But talking about violent games lol I had my mother in law over the other day and I was playing GTA V. I was running pedestrians over and she was horrified lol then asked me why I would want to do that? My wife just laughed at the awkward question and I sort of sat there awkwardly not knowing what to say lol

9 RepliesGreat parenting. Allowing the video games to babysit. How does that go? I plan on doing it too.

Shouldn't have a 10 year old on the game to be honest.
-
10 years is far too young to solo mic imo

34 RepliesEdited by Psychedelia: 9/9/2015 6:25:32 PMFirst of all, you aren't saying what your son did to annoy the shit outta them. I HATE playing with young kids, not only because it's annoying as hell, but I strongly believe it's bad parenting. Would you let your ten year old son go play catch in the park with random adults? No. It's creepy and wrong. I don't plan to let my kids online meeting and chatting with strangers until they are quite a bit older than TEN. Christ that is the worst I've ever heard. From one parent to another, shame on you. If the worst they did was boot him, he got off easy. Be thankful they didn't fill his head full of depraved insults and adult concepts. Also, I mowed lawns as a kid and it doesn't take all summer to earn forty bucks... Two yards max. That just doesn't make sense and I don't buy it.

4 RepliesLolz this thread still going on!? Gotta love the popularity its been getting but really kids let it go I mean technically pops just asking for someone to help his kid with skolas not for opinions about parenting skills xD nag nag nag get a grip people
-
If help him but I'm not on Xbox. That's a shame.
-
It's hard to play with younger people on there. Sorry but I've done something similar because the player was either rude or disruptive. Maybe he should look for players near his or her same age or respect his Sherpas ?
-
Sadly it happens man, that's why I play with real friends not lfgs

Last thing you want to do is come on here and ask for sympathy. It won't work.
-
Life's a bitch. Good life lesson there. Are you gonna get big brother and cops and lawyers involved instead of talking you your son and explaining the situation and possible ways to cope with it? Didn't think so. You are a parent on a gaming forum asking for advice
-
I wish there was more that could be done. In the future all you can do is make sure that he is the fireteam leader.
-
3 RepliesWell he just needs to get good
-
That's unfortunate. Unfortunately I don't have a ps4 so I can't help your son out in that respect. Next time it may be worth considering having people join on him so he can't be kicked.

I am really sorry to hear that. They might be some punk youngsters. Sad is all playstation community here is calling out on bad parenting. And all xbox people willing to help. And I can guarantee you, most people calling out on bad parenting don't even have kids. They are just usual haters
