The ninjas are way too aggressive in taking comments down. What happened to freedom of speech?

I've had a few comments taken down for no reason. I didn't threaten anyone. Edit 1: There is always a little trash talking in the gaming community, everyone does it. That's no reason to take down a post. Opps, sorry if i offended you. Edit 2: People should be able to say what they want. It's a basic human right. Edit 3: I'm getting a lot of hate but i stand by my comment. I understand Bungie can make the rules they want and players have to follow those rules. I just think that people should be able to speak their minds.

    • There's a thing called term of use....learn it And just because you have the freedom to say what you want to say doesnt mean there wont be no repercussions for what u said.

    • Freedom of speech actually means that we can protest and talk negatively about our own government and not get in trouble. Freedom of speech doesn't mean to go up to your boss and tell him/her to "go fvck yourself."

    • You have a basic right to start a forum of your own in which you have the basic human right to say what you want. In this forum Bungie has the basic owner rights to decide to censor you to the point of setting bans on your account. It is their basic right. You can't go to a man's house and poop on his couch because you have a human right to poop. If you enjoy pooping on furniture, please do so in the safety and stinky comfort of your own home.

    • Once again confusing abilities and rights. Secondarily it is a private space, they can do what they want.

    • Freedom of speech lol, what are you 12? There is no expectation of free speech in a public forum like this that operates in the best interest of a privately owned company. You can't honestly think you can say anything you want on here, that's ridiculous lol

If I do remember, Bungie had an old motto for the forums. I think it went like this: "You have no rights here, play nice." I think it went like that.

      • Freedom of speech does not apply to a private forum. Private meaning privately owned. A buisness can restrict speech in its enviroments.

          • Freedom of speech doesn't apply to forums. And even if it did, freedom speech has consequences. It's called moral freedom, for you to decide what's wrong and what's right. Sure, you can say it, but is it the right thing to do?

            • It's not public domain so technically free speech doesn't apply here.

            • I have a feeling I'll be banned soon because i trash talk crucible all the time. Simply because its filled with nothing but laggers, modded controllers and cheaters. I seldom come across a match where it is a fair fight, not determined by who has the best lag.

            • Freedom of speech allows you to say what you wish. However it does not protect you from the consequences thereafter.

You must follow forum policies regardless. You can't run into a theatre and scream "bomb!" and then say that your freedom of speech makes it ok and that you shouldn't get into trouble. Even the freedom of speech has its limits - it does not give you the freedom to say whatever you want whenever you want without regard to those who will also view/hear/witness what it is that you've said/posted - it will not protect you from punishment for stepping over those boundaries.
