Based on the last weekly update, we will no longer have access to Weekly Nightfall Strikes, Weekly Heroic Strikes, Daily Strikes and Daily PVP events unless we buy TTK.
(Shortened to only convey the core of the issue since this is the point that most, not all, of the commenters seem to have missed from the weekly update of 8/27)
EDIT4: This is for all the people commenting that have not read the weekly update, or that in reading it failed to understand what it said:
Per the weekly update, all modifications to the weekly and daily events are indented under the heading of "Escalation". The listing of upcoming changes is prefaced by the statement,
Once you’ve completed the new story campaign, a whole new suite of endgame activities will beckon.
And after defining all of the changes to this already included daily and weekly PVE & PVP game content, they make the following statement,
Did we mention that you’ll need to confront the immediate threat first? Oryx lies between you and these challenges. You'll need to survive his wrath to partake in the new endgame
The reference to "new endgame content" is not only to new TTK-exclusive content in the format of the update, but to the revamped daily and weekly events overall. So according to the weekly update, you will not get access to any of these daily or weekly activities until you complete the TTK story, e.g., purchase that game. Many people are arguing that this is not the case and that it will be the same as the first two expansions and access to any of these events will only be restricted when a particular strike is from TTK, but that is contrary to what the Weekly Update from Bungie states.

14 RepliesUpdate 2.0 comes out next Tuesday. Everyone will be required to download it in order to play this online game. It comes with the new leveling system, the new quest system, and with the new voice for Ghost, plus weapon tuning, all of which is available to everyone for free, even those who haven't purchased any DLC at all. It does not come with access to any content from the Taken King because in order to access it, you will have to pay for it. You cannot gain access to things you don't pay for. Regardless, you signed the EULA. You agreed to this, and filing a lawsuit is a waste of your money and time, because A. No lawyer will take your case, and B. Any judge would throw out your case immediately.

1 ReplyPretty sure your litigation would have no standing cuz OP r faget

You are the reason why there is a label on poison saying. DO NOT EAT

11 RepliesWhat you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everybody on these forums are now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

2 RepliesNext time you're going to be a retard just have a wank. That way you're still making a mess of everything but the rest of us don't need to know about it.
-
Wow prepare to be embarrassed
-
Did you read the terms of service stuff? What I gather is you've basically just bought a license to play the game. You do not own any of the content, which can be changed at any time. Just like most other MMOs.

4 RepliesThe only person need shooting here is you OP. Twice. Once in your nutsack And Once in your head.

I skimmed everything and think you are dumb. Have fun with the lawsuit

Based on your logic car manufacturers should pay for my car maintenance as I already paid for the alternator why should I have to buy a new one. Note I chose a non consumable and not gas

3 RepliesGet over yourself. What you're saying is that because you can't afford or don't want to buy content to expand the game, that the logical choice is to sue a company. You're pathetic. Yeah, maybe they lock you out of the nightfall or weekly, if it's TTK content, but they aren't taking away the chance for you to grab an exotic or some shit. Either buy the content, or move on. It's not difficult to comprehend, and because you can't have your way, you make up some ludicrous lawsuit to get your way. This ain't Burger King. This is exactly why everyone hates 2015. Either everyone is offended by something, or they are mad they can't get their way and file a lawsuit.

1 ReplyYou should try and use this much time and energy in doing something more productive.

It's generally not advised to post your intent to file a lawsuit in a public forum. Especially not the "offending" company's forum. File or stfu. If you file a class action, Bungie will be made responsible for telling all of us about it. But you're not going to. No lawyer will even attempt it. Heck, can I sue Windows for shutting down the game zone? Or sue Bungie for ditching the Halo 2 servers? Didn't think so. Move along.

1 ReplyTaking you to court for verbal assault.

So are you going to file solo or with an attourney? Also what is the status of your case? I curious because I want to see the difference between forum blowhard and true believer. Also, if these changes upset you, speak with your wallet or make YouTube videos. There are tons out there, join with their voices. I don't think you stand a chance in court.
-
My expectations for this community goes lower and lower as the days go by, this being no exception.
-
I understand and respect your thought out argument and post, but what would you consider success? If it goes to court the amount of time passed would make free access to these things pointless. Or If you buy it, win and get a refund... That seems like way more work than I'm willing to put in for $40. Or If they give non dlc players their own older nightfall the rewards would be pre dlc. I just assumed playing a online game with expanding content would leave me behind if I didn't buy the updates. If I didn't want to stay current I would probably stop playing all together. I can't imagine the salt when PS3 (like myself) and 360 users can't keep going on those systems. There will surely be a post asking bungie to buy us all current gen systems.
