Let's show Bungie that we WANT to have our year one weapons.
Edit: Our Gally taken away. Our Hopscotch taken away. Now, I know why it's called The Taken King.
Edit 2:
Bungie Weekly Update - 12/04/2014
by DeeJ
“The last thing we wanted was for you to look at your favorite gun or helmet and decide that it had become obsolete. Since the reveal, we’ve read a lot of ideas for how this could have been done better. Your feedback is clear: The time you have invested in your stuff should be respected.”
Edit 3: #Year1Matters #WeWantChoice
Edit 4: People should play how they want to play and define fun for themselves. We are NOT against new weapons. We just want a choice and have our hard work respected.
Edit 5: It's always interesting to see what people who are against choice have to say. It's like they sit in a room and plot how they will try to kill this movement.
Edit 6: The censoring of us by "Mentors" and Xur news for tomorrow. I see them!
Edit 7: Cozmo has said he talked to the devs about it. I can't find his post, but know that he's the Community Manager we need. We must keep the pressure going!

2 RepliesOkay all of you people don't understand that you can still use your year one weapons they aren't gonna vanish from your line of weapons they just won't be as good as the new weapons which is litterly like every other fps game that gets updated

1 ReplyWe're still here, #saveyear1gear.

6 RepliesAll exotics are moving forward. Maybe not at the start, which we were told, but they all will move forward. Beyond that, as long as there are elemental primaries, I am not going to bat an eye when I dismantle year one guns. Even fatebringer. And if I can find a dry rot 32 replacement fast? I will gladly dumpsack it.

1 ReplyJust remember "It is Bungievision's way or don't play."

5 RepliesI think everyone understands that there's part of the community that doesn't want to lose the old weapons, but the thing is, these posts aren't going to do anything. TTK drops in two weeks, and they're letting all the old weapons die out. Plain and simple. There's no argument, there's no amount of petitions that will make it different. This is what Bungie wants to do and that is what they will do. It's time to accept it and move on, or quit playing. I will continue playing, and it's your choice to continue or quit. Just stop flooding the forums with posts like this.

31 RepliesI find it utterly ironic that people who want year one weapons to move into year 2 accuse Bungie of being lazy. Aren't you being lazy yourself by not aspiring to try for the new weapons? OMG GJALLARHORN IS GETTING NERFED! OMG FATEBRINGER IS BEING NERFED! Give me a break... If you have to cling to your year 1 gear why are you even bothering with year 2? And don't tell me it's because you've spent so much time grinding for gear, that's a useless argument. If you did the grind for fatebringer and Gjallarhorn because you heard from other guardians that they were the OMG weapons of year 1 don't pretend like you won't do the same for the OMG weapons of year 2.

2 RepliesEdited by WINTER PROPHET: 8/27/2015 3:58:56 PMYou "may" want to add the following to your original post, as it does fall in with what is relevant in bungies overall dismissal of "respecting" what we have worked hard to earn. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4b5Jj6xGxQ&sns=em

2 RepliesIf Bungie wants me to stop using Fatebringer for PvE, then they need to design a better hand cannon. Word of Crota was close, but not quite. I should not be forced to use what Big Brother wants me to. If they will design a better or a comparable weapon, then I will willingly switch. If they keep designing weapons that are not as good as what I currently have, then I won't switch. Example: Praedyth's revenge is a great PvE sniper. Has firefly and is really useful. When Black Hammer started dropping you know what people did with Praedyth's? They set it aside because BH was clearly a better choice. Now that both are 365 weapons and the damage output is apples to apples, BH is still the clear winner. See, Bungie? Design a better weapon and we the players will choose to switch to the new. As long as the new don't compare to the old I have no reason to willingly switch.

3 RepliesThe whole damn year this forum has been filled with posts screaming "The content sucks!" And "These guns suck!". Then when Bungie says they are putting the past year behind them and essentially starting over, these forums STILL scream.

11 RepliesEdited by Kielbasa: 8/27/2015 3:06:00 PMI don't know why people are doing this. In my view I think it's good that year 1 legendaries will stay as year 1. I don't want King's fall hand cannon to be the same as a fatebringer in terms of attack because I don't feel stronger or changed if it happened . Also Year 1 weapons will still be good for Year 1 activities.

3 RepliesI am torn between For and Against your argument. But you do have a just argument nonetheless Guardian. #GuardYourLoot
