when you triple cap you -blam!- up the spawns and throw the whole game's balance out of whack causing people who would have otherwise not died to die. STOP TRIPLE CAPPING IT DOES NOT GET YOU THAT MANY POINTS KILLS ARE MORE VALUABLE
You only need to capture 2 points capturing the third swings the game in your enemies favor because now they are spawning behind you if you triple cap on purpose you are garbage.

In a competitive game, if you have the opportunity to triple cap, take it and slay the other team for as long as you can. It boosts score so much
-
7 RepliesThis is why you should play clash. Control is shit.
-
This reason cannot be solely why the kid is negative. Work on yourself before you try to work on others, I would say!
-
who cares, stop complaining. git gud.
-
1 ReplyCorrection, if you have a good enough team, you can do whatever you want ;)
-
But what if you're facing a garbage team and you can triple cap
-
All my team does whenever I'm playing is lock down b and just sit there.
-
-
Lol you mad bra triple capping is just proving your better then the other team and destiny's spawns are already -blam!-ed up trip capping doesnt mess them up much more.

I love little threads like this. As true as what you said is, if your with a decent fireteam capping all 3 zones is not a problem at all. I've been on games where we capped all 3 early on, and they have not been able to cap a zone the entire game, or at least, hold it for more than a handful of seconds. As for the random spawns behind you. Well you know how that works. So pre empt it and adapt strategy to maintain domination. They scatter spawn, which makes it harder for them to mobilize as a group, and easier to pick them off in smaller numbers. The thing I loved most about this though, the title. I mean really? If you value being a decent a pvp player - you shouldn't be playing control period.
-
2 RepliesNo sir if you can only play by getting certain points then you are garbage. The one who can play in any situation is the best including triple cap. In case you haven't notice control is not exactly domination so you don't have use the cap only B and C point to win. You can have two points the whole game and still lose. Ijs

Depends how much you're beating the other team by, but you're right, it's usually a terrible idea.
-
But triple-capping is the best way to say "-Blam!- you, we're better" to the other team. Keep hunting those Lockdown medals!
-
Hate triple capping, but if you're close to winning then why not? It'll give you more points with a kill and make the game go faster.

Edited by Kilerdrake: 8/13/2015 9:29:04 AMWhen I'm in a team and you cap the wrong flag (a flag on shores of time if we don't spawn there at the beginning, a flag on blind watch same reasoning) then GTFO I don't want a guy who doesn't know how the game works and fuk us over, spawning on A flag on shores of time is a shit thing if you know what I'm saying
-
Indeed. In the games where your team knows this and defends well are tactical, small skirmishes as the enemy tries to sneak past or rush you, waiting for the dull red patch on your radar to focus into something you can shoot at. After a couple of minutes of this it's almost a relief when one of your team loses their nerve and rushes C, there's something to do again. Last Iron Banner one team I was on just ran in a circle from flag to flag, confused the hell out of the other team and won by 9000 points. Great fun.

Edited by TomDR93: 8/13/2015 9:25:27 AMIf I'm running with a 5-6 player fireteam we usually triple cap if we're doing well. That way we do our best to spread out but cover each other at the same time and win most firefights, getting as many points as possible. Communication and triple capping is effective. ~TheGreatEgo

Sometimes you have to take the third point because the spawns start dropping the bad guys on your first point. If you don't take theirs, they will cap yours. And also, it's not a bad thing to neutralize their 3rd point, then walk off it.
-
Spawns get screwy even if no one takes the third control point: if enough teammates are in the enemy's spawn area, the enemy will spawn behind you in yours. And when playing with random, that is pretty much unavoidable unavoidable.
-
I just don't play control
-
I prefer to only cap 2 zones buttttttt hey if the other team lets themselves get triple capped they probably suck anyways because they can't control a zone. For competitive control I agree with the OP, however it's not always a bad thing.
-
Wow op shut your face just cause you had some bad games it doesn't require you to complain and tell people how to play the game. If you have a decent team triple cap destroys.
-
Ugh, always see this kind of post. Unless I'm doing doing a match win bounty, I cap what zones I want.
-
11 RepliesPoint per kill per flags capped: 0 = 100 1 = 150 2 = 200 3 = 300 You get 50% more points if you triple cap compared to double cap. While you're right that it does make the spawns slightly more random, it makes it equally more difficult for your enemy to push back. They'll be spawning all over the place and won't be able to form together to take out your team. At best, they'll be able to take back one flag together and then they'll be back where they started before you triple capped. It's worth it.
-
Agreed. Ignore the idiots.

Edited by TouchMyGoldnGun: 8/13/2015 6:06:49 AMHaha a 9yr old telling me what to do! Lol. If it wins games then let them play whatever they want. If you're even that good, you don't need to worry. Next... Tell me how to handle my pre-teen daughter, then maybe i won't tripple cap.
