Will the current raids be pointless in The Taken King?
So with the taken king coming out and all of our legendary weapons and gear from raids becoming useless in the taken king, what will happen to the current raids? Will there be new gear to get or will VoG and Crota's end only be good for the Vex mythoclast Necrochasm (if and when the husk of the husk of the pit is fixed).

But they are also having the new taken enemies in the old raids. Also rumor is they are making the levels higher. So to answer you question yes crota is dumb no point in ever doing it. But VOG you can do it all the time (just my opinion) crota takes about 10 min where's the fun in that

At the very least we can run the old raids for materials to convert to motes of light. May not be much, but it's an option.

I was wondering that too. That would make the first two raids unnecessary. They would only be for fun because gear dropped would still have light levels. That can't be how they are going to leave it.
