35 RepliesEdited by Apollo: 8/1/2015 5:10:12 PMLets go in depth here Fallen Vs Covenant: Shank = drone/bugger (Thanks to Jay) Dreg = grunt Vandal < jackles (jackles have personal energy shields) Servitors < minor elites (in terms of raw strength and power the elites win but the servitors can heal fellow troops) Captans > minor elites (slight victory due to stronger fallen shields Barons = middle class elites Archons > multiple higher class elites Weapons: Shock pistol = plasma pistol Standard fallen grenade <Plasma Grenade Fallen Sniper < Beam Rifle/Focus Rifle Fallen energized blade < energy sword (the fallen blade is just metal that is electrified, the energy sword on the other hand is made of pure plasma energy and could cut clean through it) Fallen shock rifle =(<?) Plasma repeater/plasma rifles Scorch cannon = fuel rod(fuel rod can ve used by grunts as well so it does have an advantage here) Additional fallen weapons: Shrapnel launchet Additional covanent weapons: Needler Concussion rifle Carbine rifle Plasma launcher As you can see the covenant have a massive advantage in weaponry especially in close quarters not only do they have better melee weapons but all sangheili are militarized, even farmers have a simple knowledge of hand to hand combat Another thing elites have is that elites are actually stronger than spartans are (at least the higher ranking ones are) Elites are also VERY VERY smart And you specifically said only elites so this will mean that every troop on the fallen side below a captan will be at a sever disadvantage due to a elites superior weapons, skill, and armor(including shields) The fallen ammunition also travels very slowly(such as the shock rifles, shrapnel rifles out to a distance, and the fallen sniper has a charge time) Not to mention that the fallen are simply scavengers where the covenant are a well funded army with plenty of resources Simply saying the elites have better -weapons -training -armor & shields -tactics -strength -troop to troop skill ratio -funding(is this relevant?)

3 RepliesHave you read the story on the elites training? XDD hands down the elites.

On legendary? Easily the elites. They kill you in like 5 shots from a plasma rifle. That and they spam grenades. Then there's the zealots. Those guys are tanks. They have so much health and shields and they use fuel rods and energy swords. Nothing survives them. On top of ALL of that, what would cheaply allow them to win is stealth elites. Since you can't be seen with the hunters camo, what makes you think the elites will be seen? And their stealth is permanent even after getting hit. Easily the elites. Think about the fallen while they were in their prime...before the events of destiny

55 RepliesEdited by Savathûn: 8/1/2015 9:39:26 PMOn foot, the Fallen actually have a good chance of winning. Archons and duchesses and dukes are all ludicrously, almost unnaturally durable, and will cut a -blam!-ing swath through the Elites while vandals and melee-captains work mop up the rest. Of course the Flood will vote Elites, though. If you made a poll about whether Oryx could beat a grunt, the Flood would matter-of-factly inform you that "lol -blam!-in desticle grunts can rip open MARINE WITH THEIR BARE HANDS". Edit: forgot Elites could Wortwortwort. Disregard the above.

Edited by Hopeinmo: 8/1/2015 9:27:53 PMRead before opening picture Looks up Elites... Aw hell with this, i is too hot where I am to read through that and form an opinion at the moment... Edit: Formed an opinion by browsing some other posts, voting fallen, cause elites are a fraction of the covenant :/ (still want to play through halo series, but is MS exclusive and MS has earned enough disrespect from me for me not to trust them)

2 RepliesSangheili society is based in war, whereas the Eliksni are merely seeking the traveler. Also Fallen weapons couldn't hit a single thing and Sangheili can.

10 RepliesHave you ever heard a fallen, "wort wort wort"?! End of discussion

Fallen would get wrecked

7 RepliesEdited by BloodyAlien243: 8/1/2015 7:28:10 AMThese are so stupid. I feel people ask these just to feel good about how they are in agreement. If not and this is an actual question then a place of less bias would be better. And I come back to the same argument in every thread like this. It's not quite fair. Elites in game are not very dangerous. It's in the books that they are allowed to be OP. How many books has Destiny had 0. We will still need time and more lore to see how skilled Fallen are in combat.

Tuco always wins

Keeping this thread bumped because of a stupid question like that

While I'd have to agree on the thread about grunts vs Fallen, I think that elites simply have them beat. There are so many types of elites, and they're capable of many things. For example: Fallen have Pikes, Walkers, and transport ships. Elites can drive Locusts (the little brother of a scarab), wraiths, anti-air wraiths, ghosts, revenants, spectres, banshees, phantoms, Vampires, Cruisers (tons of types). The elites have all the abilities of the Fallen, and more. Fallen don't have a fleet of cruisers, to my knowledge. Outside of combat, we can compare them simply on how they live. Fallen live for combat, but are completely divided up into houses. Elites are for the most part on one side, save a few heretics. They have councilors to advise the prophets, so that their best interests of living are taken into account, and they managed to live in search of Halos for a long time without a massive war. Someone said Fallen would beat elites strategically: To my knowledge, the only Fallen House that was truly strategic was the house of Wolves, but they were taken out by three guardians. (For argument's sake, let's say 1 guardian=3 spartans) The elites have been fought by hundreds of spartans, and while many elites were not the wisest, some were strategic geniuses. Remember that if it were not for the elites being betrayed by their own and being forced to help the humans, the Halo rings would've been activated at the Ark. Sorry Fallen, but Honor outdoes Darkness.
