I'm so sick of this community.
The pure elitist nature of this community makes me sick. Almost everybody on these forums seems to carry a holier-than-thou attitude like a badge on their chest.
Apparently, if you don't have 3 34s, have run both raids on normal and hard multiple times, have most if not all exotics, have run flawless Trials and have run 35 PoE, your opinion isn't valid.
Apparently you can't complain about a weapon unless you've used it. Apparently if your K/D doesn't reach a certain number then you're the worst player of all time. If you die too often, you'll probably be booted if you aren't playing with friends.
Oh, you've never raided before? Good luck finding any group that will let you raid with them without a [b]lot[/b] of searching. What's that? Your grimoire (a small number that signifies how many pointless things you've found/done) isn't high enough? Booted, you're automatically bad at the game. I'm not even gonna get started on the Gally elitism, the biggest reason why I support patch 2.0.
I understand that there are friendly and helpful users on here, but they're immensely overshadowed by self-righteous pricks who think that playing anything besides nonstop Destiny makes you a worthless pile of nothing. In fact, I'd say dealing with this obnoxious community is more tedious than anything else in the game! No wonder Bungie rarely interacts with you guys; if I had a playerbase like this I'd probably release the content and not say a word!
You guys are so disgusting, so toxic, so utterly annoying that #OffTopic is a nicer place than this.

It's rather frustrating, but you'll find good and bad people. Honestly a lot of the main #destiny users are not the same as #recruitment, I find a slew of people to play with who are very chill.

Almost every person I've played with from the looking for game section has been pretty cool and I've always played with them again. If you drag the team down that's on you, practice or level up to be able to play so you won't die so often. Some of these players looking for a substitute player have been in the raid or poe for hours and they are just trying to finish. For one guy it may be 2am, the other maybe 8pm and another guy may be squeezing in a game at 5:30 before work. If you have just logged on then yes dying 10 times is no big deal but to the rest of the players it may be. The good news is you don't have to play with a group who is impatient because there are thousands and thousands of clans

1 ReplyYou're part of a clan that was built around a troll so I can't take anything you say serious With that being said I came into this game an anti-social solo player and seemed to do just fine, the difference between you and I is wanted to participate in this game's activities so I did what I had to do to make that happen (searched LFGs and what not till I found a solid group to game regularly with, even play other games together). Try putting in some effort instead of having a woe is me mindset

I'll agree with this to an extent. There are a lot of people that do have some ridiculous criteria when it comes to LFG. Regardless of whether or not I agree with your opinion, I will expect that you've done some research before you argue with me about it. You can't run around saying that things are OP or need a buff if you've never used said thing. So to that point, I'll have to disagree with you.

These forums and this game are the only 2 places 99% of these people can run their mouths without fear of getting their teeth knocked down their throats. They are cowards that use the internet and anonymity as tools to be dicks to everyone because they think there won't be any repercussions. No way in hell would they run their mouth like that in a group of people. They'd get that ass beat.

I posted about this several weeks ago. I have given up activities that require premade teams because I can't find them (and I suck lol) but some of the requirements verged on the ridiculous even for low level activities.

1 ReplyI just try asking myself, when exactly did the community and the forums go downhill? Back in beta the only argument was whether the Interceptor was OP or not. Heck, the forums were still an ok place to go for the first few months. Did we all wake up one morning and say "Hey. Let's be giant assholes."? When did it go wrong, and what caused it?

As long as you listen and not complain, you are welcomed. I have ran vog, crota, Skolas, and other activities with new people who never ran the activity and we succeeded. Also, be careful what you wish for about the gjallarhorn. Most people who want others to have it are looking for that particular person to do all the work. Once the 2.0 happens, people will be more reluctant to try and carry new people due to the less damage. Better to leave the pve rocket alone.

Dude i have done all raids run flawless decent grimoire done poe 35 got all exotics xbox one. An i am always willing to help people out. An doesn't matter if they a million times don't have ghorn i won't kick anyone
