If you think Hard light will be the "go to" weapon after 2.0 READ THIS
I disagree with Hard light being the "go to" weapon. Most people that say Hard light can "wreck" thorn right now are users that have less than 1,000,000 medal score meaning they don't have lots of pvp experience. You guys act like Hard lights impact was buffed and it's not. You guys also act like the range was buffed well it's not. Hard lights range is trash the "buff" for no damage drop off only makes it so that the range won't get worse(range is garbage right now). It will still be a garbage weapon as it is now

Edited by Lrich1986: 7/22/2015 11:11:05 AMActually it's damage will increase (it obviously hasn't yet) as auto rifles are getting a base damage increase. Whether it will be the go to weapon is hard to say. Given that bungie generally suck at balancing stuff so I can see it happening to be honest

Got it 5 months ago and since launch this weapon has been hands down my favorite exotic. It's got second most kills as an exotic which is right behind my ghorn. It's never seen the inside of my vault and never will. Can't wait for omolon weapons in the new DLC.

3 RepliesThe damage drop off will also benefit ricochet rounds that have already hit their target. It is possible for the same bullet to damage the target twice in a room. It is getting a healthy stability increase, which will help with its retarded recoil pattern. The damage is getting buffed, both the base damage, and by proxy of the base damage and range fall off removal, the ricochets are getting buffed as well. I won't say it is going to be a go to, or even a tier 1, but these buffs should come noticed. I believe these buffs come to create diversity amongst people moving back to auto rifles, so that suros regime is not the only weapon used in this category.

Only 2 things to say here. One no damage fall off doesn't extend tge range but it means at the absolute tail end of its range it will deal the same damage as if they are in your face. Also hard light vs thorn any weapons in the right hands can beat any weapon. While thorn does have an obvious advantage right now it doesnt change the fact that a better player running hard light, monte carlo, or even necrochasm they are going to win despite what there going against
