Your feelings on final round snipers?
With an epidemic of final round snipers coming every Friday-Monday, now seems like a good time to bring up the idea of changing them. What are your thoughts on the final round perk enabling body shot kills?
Edit: This would remove final round from all snipers and replace it with another perk.
Edit: Final round has been removed from new snipers but old snipers still have it. A nerf would remove it from old snipers.

I feel like it's a little bit of a crutch. If you can't hit them with your first 2-5 shots to land a second hit or a headshot, you shouldn't be rewarded a one hit kill. I have avoided these since I learned of them. I don't believe in "Can't beat them, join them", it only adds to the problem.

I never purposefully go to the last round for one kill. Waste of ammo! I could get 2 more kills with that ammo! You self rez and wearing the ram? Here's 609 damage to your dome. Actually, had to do it today. A dude revived in Trials, he was their last guy. He ended up flopping over into a loss screen. Match point over. :p

Other weapons just get a nice bit of bonus damage rather than becoming one hit kills so I see no reason to change their perk for pvp. Or replace it with crowd control. That way you actually have to get a kill first to get the extra damage at which point it seems reasonable to me to have the one hit kill.

I don't think it needs to be removed, but I DO think that you are dirt if you use it. I honestly feel that final round is so disgustingly flawed that i refuse to use it. I rely on headshots not broken game mechanics like a bad kid.

They shouldn't have one shot capabilities... Instead they should do the max damage possible without killing the target in pvp, I'm talking about mainly ldr for bodyshots

I don't mind getting killed by final round if he actually used the shots before that, instead of wasting them for one free kill

Only on high impact snipers.. -blam!- you. On lesser impact snipers. Perfectly fine.

I only use it in trials because it can make or break the beginning of a round. Getting that first kill from a range will make the enemy team fall back which allows my team to rush in and clean up.

1 ReplyI'm against people who shoot off 3 rounds just to one shot me in the toe. That's dumb. Those people are dumb and have no skill. Why don't you shoot me in the body twice?? You don't even have to have good aim for that.

2 RepliesYou can no longer get final round on a sniper after HoW. Only snipers that had it Pre HoW can still have it.

I use a Final Round LDR. I don't agree with people who waste ammo just to have a guarantee final round, because it seems foolish, but the perk is definitely helpful. Quite honestly, it isn't that hard to aim for the head. It is always nice to be able to fall back on that last round, though. It isn't overpowered at all. If you really want a one shot kill, just aim for the head. Especially in Trials, where sniper battles are prevalent, aiming for the head can be vital.

I mean I have like 4 of them ....so why don't you all just get one then everyone has one and are all on even ground .....I can understand the thorn and fate and lie post , those guns you need a little luck and skill to get , but a sniper with final round....just buy one. Edit sorry didn't know you couldn't get one anymore...I got an old final boss and two ldr with it ....

I don't think they're that overpowered... I did get sniped through a wall by eifredeets spear by final round which was annoying

I don't really encounter final round snipers enough to get noticeably annoyed by them. When I get 1-shotted by a sniper, I just assume that they got me in the head, since that's perfectly possible and reasonable.
