I'm planning on buying Destiny for my brother and I to play, but only one of us has a gold subscription. Are you able to create two save files so that we can both play our own separate campaigns using the one live account?

It's also worth noting that all characters on the account will share a common inventory space, called a vault, so you can share items between the two of you, if you so choose.

Thanks for your answers, guys, that was really helpful. I'll hopefully be able to pick up an Xbone copy by the end of the week!

Depends on how you are wording your question. -All I know is that you can create up to 3 characters per gamertag/psn account. -If you want 6 characters (3 for you and 3 for your brother), you will have to create a separate microsoft account for your xbox.

Thus allowing both profiles to play on Xbox live on the same console. My girlfriend has her own account on my Xbox which i enabled as family so she can play destiny on her own separate account.

Edited by Minne21: 3/5/2015 1:36:02 AMYou can not create separate save files, you do however get to create 3 characters, maybe that is a solution? Each character can do its own story line, strikes, raids and crucible. You do share a vault to exchange items, and glimmer (in game currency) is shared automaticly.

You can have multiple character per account but there is no way for both of you to have 3 characters each if you're sharing an account.
