[i]Before you go in the comments of this thread, I don't care about ANYTHING negative you have to say to me, this is a RAGE RANT for a reason! So before you go posting "Oh, he's a crying little baby." or "How about you just stop playing it then?", I don't care. I'm a male, I'm stubborn, let me rage please![/i]
So if you haven't noticed by now, every single gun that is actually GOOD or has amazing perk rolls on them. Requires either Crucible marks OR Iron Banner Reputation!
Almost NO vanguard weapons I get or see being sold are worth my marks.
I am a PvE player, I would LOVE to see a PvE EVENT for once Bungie! Like come on, Iron Banner has came back 5 bloody times now, how many times have you seen a PvE event? Once. When everybody was level 20-24!
Like I said, almost EVERY gun that is worth getting requires bloody CRUCIBLE marks.
Examples:
- All Faction Weapons! (Dead Orbit and New Monarchy mainly)
- The Vanquisher from New Monarchy, the Deviant Gravity from Dead Orbit.
- Iron Banner Weapons and Armor!
- Finally armor that can both go to 32! Thanks Bungie, I'm already level 32 on all my characters!
- The Weapons! Come on Rank 5 for a Scout Rifle that has SAME PERKS as Fatebringer? and the shotgun is crap I know, but I want it just to reroll it and see if it can get better, maybe shot package, hammer forged, luck in the chamber?
- Crucible Vendor Weapons!
- Again, with the difference between Vanguard and Crucible Vendor weapons. ALL OF THE CRUCIBLE ONES HAVE BAD ASS PERK ROLLS. Where are you at Vanguards?!? Lord Shaxx knows how to properly set amazing perks on his weapons!
- How many weapons can I name right now that have amazing perk rolls and stats from Crucible Vendor? Let's see...
- The Saterienne Rapier (Scout Rifle): Has SAME PERKS AS FATEBRINGER!!! (but requires Marks...)
- TFWPKY 1969 (Hand Cannon): Has 10 bullets compared to Vanguard's 5 bullets. Has Field Scout and Mulligan! (150 marks....)
- The Trolley Problem (Fusion Rifle): The charge rate sucks, yes, but EVERYTHING else is AMAZING! Especially the IMPACT!
- Two To The Morgue (Shotgun): I have this, and IT IS A BEAST! Luck in the Chamber, Hammer Forged, High Impact!! Oh my lord.
- Three Little Words (Pulse Rifle): Look at the Impact on this gun, and it has Third Eye and Headseeker. Amazing Perks.. (150 marks....)
Vanguard Weapons?.... Pathetic. The ONLY 2 Vanguard Vendor weapons that are "decent" are the Shotgun and Sniper Rifle.
--- Comparing to Crucible ---
- Secret Handshake (Shotgun): Impact is worse, Range is WAY worse, It has Shot Package.. that's only good thing about it.
- LDR 5001 (Sniper Rifle): It can shoot through walls. Crucible one can't. Mine has Firefly and and Ambush Scope. Crucible doesn't.
Of Course, If you get a Amazing Vanguard or Crucible weapon from Nightfall or Engram, it can be better or worse, BUT you are in RNG's house in terms of getting it. I'm specifically raging and comparing VENDOR weapons and the Quality between Crucible and Vanguard.
Ok, I think I'm done raging now, but as you can see, ALL OF THE GOOD WEAPONS in this game require you to have Crucible marks. Bungie rewards their PvE players with Raid loot.... IF RNG ALLOWS IT.
P.S.: I am sorry for any grammatical errors in this post, you don't really pay attention to that in a Rage Post.

Technically speaking any legendary (besides raid ones) can be shit or amazing. I remember seeing a shadow price once that had field scout and several upgrades thta gave it max stability. To be honest it's all about the perks that can roll on it and guess what, Almost every re-roll can only be obtained through nightfall or packages which means you could get any faction weapon and never go into crucible. Now let's add in another fact here. One of the best weapons for PVP can only be obtained through a PVE even and that would be the Vex Mythoclast which can only be obtained through the hard mode Vault of Glass, Other than that almost every exotic can be earned through PVE as well. Sorry to say it, but not all the best things come from PVP alone my friend.

You could wear a faction item while you do anything that gives you rep, and hope to get a weapon in the packages. It's RNG as well, but the chances might be higher than the nightfall. Good luck buddy.

Plug One is just as good as the Trolley Problem. LDR is amazing. The pulse rifles are also pretty good. MG Harm's way is good as well. Badger is good as well.

Invalid, raid weapons, and when you get legendary engrams, and when you level up a faction or vanguard, it can give you PVP stuff.

I felt shafted when TDB came out. i still have my favorite Vanguard package: Shadow Price / Comedian / Unfriendly Giant / Swarm. so far I've replaced the SP with the Vanq.8 (lucky NF reward) & the UG was replaced by the G'Horn. still can't find a shotgun I like. I'm currently using the Swordbreaker & will be purchasing the Iron Banner & Dead Orbit shotguns soon. hopefully one of them will feel like home. anyone know of a MG that competes with the glory of the Swarm?

Vendors have some decent guns - the best guns in the game are obtained in PVE raids Crucible is to PVP as strikes are to PVE. - Raids are a whole different story and are MUCH better than the lame Iron Banner This game caters to the PVE player. It is much more geared to PVE. Bungie made their mark with PVP a so they need to expand upon it or the game will die.

1 ReplyI agree this game was sold mainly on it being a PVE not PVP the only time I enjoy PVP is the iron banner because my gear and weapons matter where as in crucible a level 3 can one shot me with a shotgun half way across the map but my freaking found verdict takes 2 shots at close range to kill something

3 RepliesSo how do more PvE events help you get these weapons? Also, dailies, heroic, nightfall, and raids are all PvE events, and most of the exotic weapons in the game are acquired through PvE events. PvP has iron banner once a month

I have a near identical Crusader I Scout Rifle that I got from a Nightfall, Fatebringer and WoC are cream de la cream in the hand cannon world, Voc/Fang/HoC/BH/PR/Abyss Defiant all from PvE raids. I understand that you want certain things, but to flat out say the best things in the game are from Crucible is just flat out wrong. I personally think they make 95% of vendor gear crapy just to get people by while grinding away for better with in-game drops.

2 RepliesI have: TFWPKY, 2 Trolley Problem one for Void and one for Solar, had Two to the Morgue, went to the morgue itself, and how I got them you ask, well I used my daily bounties, ROC, weekly, and patrol missions to level up the factions, after lvl 3 they will give you one of their weapons, or a weapon comparable to theirs and sometimes with better perks or burns.

Agreed... i only have cruicible marks cause someone did my thorn bounty for me. But i don't have the cruible rank to spend them drives me nuts.
