Me and my boyfriend break up story.
So me and my boyfriend recently broke up, we kept on arguing about small little things and it seems like our relationship didn't go so well till the end. The reason why we broke up is because he was too insecure and had problems whenever I played Destiny with my friends, if he is playing with me it would be ok, unless if he allows it. So two weeks ago, he went to school and allowed me to play Destiny by myself, I was playing control and clash, and I was losing every match because of randoms going negative and letting the other team win. I was getting pretty much annoyed by this, I just got frustraited and felt like getting off, a friend of mine just invited me to join her in Destiny PVP so I decided to join her, she usually plays alone by herself, so I thought to myself "Hey, he wouldn't be mad at me if I joined a girl, unless if it was a guy he would." So I joined her, and she was playing with two guys, I knew I would get in trouble since there was guys in the lobby, I told my friend about it, that my boyfriend would be mad at me, she told me "It's ok, they are religious and have girlfriends" my boyfriend only allows me to join somebody if it's only girls, or if the guys are gays, so he knows they won't hit on me. I didn't wanna sound rude to her or her friends so I stayed in couple of matches. After my boyfriend came back, he was checking his PS App to see what I was doing, and saw that I was playing with my friends... He got pretty much píssed off, and told me he no longer can trust me, he acted as in I was cheating on him, I told him she invited me without me checking who she was playing with and I didn't wanna come out rude. He told me I should of left them and just tell her I can't. She has always been nice to me so I didn't really wanna say anything negative so i stayed. My boyfriend and I ever since that, our relationship has been horrible. He told me he no longer can trust me anymore, and would be mad if he saw some guys flirting with me. I told him many times if some guy tried to flirt with me, I'll block them, but he still refused and said no. I couldn't play with any of my friends when he was gone, I only have Destiny on my PS4 so I got no other games to play, and its more fun to play with friends instead of randoms. I told him I am bored of playing with randoms and he was like "Idc just don't play with guys." He litteraly limited me from my friends and whenever I was playing, I wasn't allowed to join anybody. He even had a problem with my best friend I know in real life (who is a guy I known since childhood) We made a deal with each other, if we ever got married I would cut my friendships off with guys in real life and PSN, even though I regretted it, he then told me I am allowed to be friends that he has known in his life (who are guys) to be friends with them, and I was confused cause we made a deal I wouldn't. He told me about his friends, and I don't really like his friends, since they seemed to ignore me, and one of them acts like a jerk. One of his irl friends dated a girl just to have sex with her, and he dumped her because she didn't wanna sleep with him. I was wondering what kind of friend that is? I asked him about it too, he told me he was immature that's why he did this, but that means he is not better than any other guys on PSN I met, and for some reason he didn't mind if I was playing with them, that made no sense to me. I told my boyfriend I can play with whoever I want to, cause this was getting ridiculous, my friend who is a girl, she is allowed to play with guys and she has a boyfriend, her boyfriend didn't mind, while mine was freaking out like crazy, so we broke up over the phone and his last words to me was "... Fine, we break up." Then he ended the call immediately and quickly went on his PSN accounts and deleted me from there and on his YouTube account removed his videos with me (He made them private) I couldn't take this relationship any longer so I thought it was best to break up. Our relationship was a disaster, and he always suspected me, thinking I was cheating when I never cheated on anybody before. Now I can finally play with my PSN friends without anybody questioning me, so I feel alot better about this.
So, I'm wondering did I do the right thing by ending this relationship with him?
Also sorry for my bad english, english is not my 1st language.

Sounds like a control freak to me. You wouldn't want to spend your whole life with a guy like that. Besides, you did nothing wrong. You did the right thing kickin' him to the curb.

That has to be the most insecure person I've ever heard of, and the idea of some one being jealous, or feeling threatened, because you're playing online with ANYONE, is just... Sissytown. Don't ever look back, girl, and don't EVER settle for a guy that's even close to this. You do you. If he can't handle it, move on. You'll be fine.

In my experience the people that worry and freak out that you might be cheating tend to do so because they see all the signs. They know them well because they are the cheater and don't want you to do what they are doing to you. The more secure and trusting people don't look for those signs since they put trust in the relationship. The only reason they wouldn't is if the person their with broke that trust and they chose to stay. So good for you leaving him, good relationships need trust.

He was too controlling, and the most important thing in a relationship is trust, and if he couldn't learn to trust you then it's on him. I think you did the right thing.

Here is some advice if your dating someone for longer than a month and they cant trust you with other guys and you did nothing wrong you shouldnt be going out relationships are about TRUST and if he dosnt trust you then you did the right decision
