Just do it already Bungie. People are moving away from Windows since 11 released.

Not gonna happen it's not worth the time and effort for basically zero payoff

2 RepliesI’m sure that once Linux represents a big enough market Bungie will be all over it. Until then though, it doesn’t look like it’s happening.

7 RepliesEdited by Shark_Shank: 2/5/2026 12:06:14 PMI think you are over estimating how many people are leaving windows. at best Linux desktop is 4 percent of pc use, then factor how many of that 4 percent are gaming, then how many of those people are going to play d2, then how many of those people are new to d2 and going to result in purchases. After the percent of a percent of a percent of 4 percent, factor in how much in resources it will take for Bungie to code their in house AC to work in Linux, create support articles for at least the common flavors of linux, then train their already limited and borderline ineffectual support, QA, and Security teams on linux, and then the cost to roll all of this back when cheating takes a spike like it did with Apex Legends. Easier for you to just use Windows, like everyone else for the the past 20+ years.

1 ReplySony is notoriously not a fan of Linux Infact the reason they started locking internet access to firmware was to prevent console hacking on PS3 through Linux So don't hold your breath

Why you wanna punish Linux users like that???

I'm a dedicated Linux user for 15+ years. I had zero problem using a second SSD to install Windows 11 just for Destiny 2. It's not that deep, you are just lazy. The anti-cheat situation on Linux is not mature enough yet and without a major undertaking it won't be for years. Currently BattlEye and Easy Anti-Cheat are both implemented entirely userspace as a shared object on Linux. Bypassing this setup is trivial on Linux, if you don't understand why then you are not experienced enough with Linux to comment on any game supporting Linux. D2 has a horrible cheating problem on Windows where there's a closed source kernel, digital signature enforcement for kernel and modules, secure boot, and dedicated services for securing processes and handles.... and you want destiny in the actual wild west of operating systems....ok. Quite frankly I'm tired of technology tourists like you demanding Big Corporation support Linux with their proprietary software. We have enough corporate influence in the open source world as it is. (https://www.linuxfoundation.org/about/members). There was a time computer people went through great strides to avoid the big corporate weeny but you embrace it.

2 RepliesDoubt it will happen.
