I mean this is late overdue, it would help A LOT for events like mars escalation protocol, dreaming city blind well, and the newest activity on the moon altars of sorrow.
Plus it would help for public events and just enjoying free roam with friends/clanmates.
Hell even having the possibility to start those events from orbit into an special separate zone only for 6 people max. would be something..
Or, possibility to join clanmates in separate squads would also help as well, with the same 3 people max per squad.

Bump.

An "MMORPG" limited to 3 player groups on patrol, what a joke of a game. They either trolling when they put the term in their mouths or they are completely clueless what MMORPGs really are.
-
1 ReplyIt would be nice, most the times when I’m in a XBL party we have an odd man out being forced to do other stuff while we patrol.
-
A good solution to stop you from having 9 people in a single public space would be a normal patrol where you can only have 3 but still get matched with other people, and then a fire walled patrol where you can take 6 players in but you wont match with other players. this would stop those events from becoming a total joke and still retaining the other parts of patrol where you play with randoms.

6 RepliesWith EP/blind well I guess I can agree. Otherwise I can literally do all those things solo
-
I wish they’d have some kind of “heroic” patrol instance where it would feel necessary.
-
4 RepliesYou find patrol so hard you need to 6 man it. 🤣
-
The fact that it has been 5 years and this option hasn’t been added is sad
-
4 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 11/2/2019 3:48:51 PMI remember doing this in D1 H.O.W , running 6 in patrol racing to collect the keys or trying to beat the timer to see how many keys you could get out of 1 chest leaving the area and coming back before it disappeared. Edit: It took Bungie just about 5 years just so the hunters can see their entire cloak, and it took Bungie 5 years just to give nightfall matchmaking. (5 years is a long freaking time people just to get 2 things that were requested with literally thousands of requests.) Be honest with yourself. Do you really think they even give a flying hoot about something like this at this point knowing they are working on a new game that has nothing to do with destiny? They don't even have enough manpower just to simply update the vendors with new gear, etc... at the tower.
-
5 RepliesNo. Absolutely not. Then you’d be crying because patrols were too easy and Bungie being Bungie would dial the difficulty up to Reckoning levels and no one would be able to patrol alone.

One word: Machinimas

8 RepliesNo, that is the dumbest shit ever requested.
-
3 RepliesJust asking: can’t you load in the raid with your team then head towards the harbor of sorrows just like we used to do with the Vault?
-
Also, in the future, never ask for "the possibility" of something. Bungie will jump all over that, release a twab with a sentence or two saying they tried it and didn't work (while being extremely vague and evasive about why it doesn't work), then finish the rest of the twab gassing themselves up because "they listened".
-
11 RepliesLFG be like. “Doing patrols, need 4. KWTD, Have Not Forgotten, checking stats.”
-
This has been something that has been asked for for years ever since D1 I am pretty sure and they still haven't done anything to make such a thing possible. Certainly would be nice to do so in the case of activities like Escalation Protocol or the new Event going on at Sorrow's Harbor on the moon instead of loading in and praying some others will be there to do it with you. I wouldn't hold my breath though since it's been on Bungie's infamous backburner list of good ideas for ages.
-
5 RepliesDid you just give an Idea that can improve the QOL of the game? This post is gonna get swept under a rug I guarantee it.

6 RepliesEdited by TrueBoricua: 11/1/2019 3:32:29 PMWhat you can do is get the boys together in orbit and all load up eververse from orbit and browse the store. LETS GO!

-
yes. the riad team size should be able to stick together for regular activities.

2 RepliesEdited by Demon_XXVII: 11/1/2019 8:59:19 PMMatchmaking 6 man Into patrol/EP/Alter/Reckoning teams As long as EVERYTHING is bumped up to ‘Prestige kickass’ mode (basically raid style open world - imagine completing every public event & Lost Sector on a series of locations- Nessus/EDZ/Moon/DC/TS (a beefed up Flashpoint, maybe bring back renown for it) Everything geared up to kick your ass 6 people will still struggle to survive Good couple of hours gaming = weekly pinnacle rewards

Bungie defenders: programming is hard.
-
12 RepliesEP is designed for 3 people but others can join. AOS is same thing, 3 people but more can join. Server problems are not on bungie, bungie uses a company that has servers. If there is server problem it's on thier end not bungies. Bungie communicates with the company one what's wrong then they send a patch to the company to then upload.

There is plenty of times when you go to a patrol zone there is less than 6 players planet side. What’s the problem with this suggestion? Too easy? Give it the Ordeal treatment. Or blanket light level penalty. Farming Patrols? Seriously think that is an issue, fine ok stack requirements for completion depending on fireteam size. This is a good suggestion. PVE patrol zones need more attention. Especially in the QOL department.
-
5 Replies6 people + the other blueberries in the area would make the events a joke. They need to be a little difficult or people would farm them and abandon them in a week
-
This was asked for day one of D1. It ain't happening. This "open world" is selectively open and purposefully so.
