It got me thinking. What’s the point if we’re able to be seen pve and pvp.
It’s like a good 1-3 seconds before the enemies in pve actually notice your invisible. They’ll still be shooting.

1 ReplyI agree. It's kinda pointless. You can be seen easily in PvP and in PvE enemies in heroic strikes seem to still see you and keep shooting. In D1 I never encountered this issue. I quit trying to play stealth and main gunslinger now. Guess they wanted us to play aggressive not stealthy in D2. Trying to go stealth to revive teammates is pointless when enemies stand there shooting the ghost lol.

8 RepliesIn PvP, yeah, I concur. PvE though, the enemies don’t actually shoot at you while invisible, they shoot where you were when you turned invisible. It’s really easy to be hit by stray bullets and splash damage. The best way to deal with that is to just jump away really quickly, or turn invisible behind cover and avoid the problem altogether.

1 ReplyYeah for PvE it took me forever to realize but once you turn invisible immediately run in the opposite direction of where you were going. Every bullet will miss you.

In pve enemies receive constant updates about a player's position. This informs them of where you are. When you turn invisible these updates become halted. Thus enemies will treat it as if you are still in the last known location before turning invisible. If you turn invisible and then stand in the same spot enemies will continue to shoot you.

lol i never notice. its usually "oh, was that guy tryna surprise me? erm......bungie?" just casually chatting to a dead body about life.

Indeed. That is because they nerfed it without thinking. Just like D1 all over again. Nerf melee range 3x and what happens?....melee shortstops 80% of the time because the game still thinks you have more range. And now they made invisibility useless.
