I've been going through some of my old games for the Xbox and the Xbox 360.. And man some of those little booklets where so high quality. That feeling when you drive home from the game store and you get to read the booklet on the way home.. That's something that my kids or hell, even my little brother will probably never experience.. Kind of makes you think..
*stares off into the distance*

I loved Skyrims.
-
I loved the fable 2 booklet, it had all of the different weapons and all kinds of stuff. I wish they still gave them out
-
Edited by Sugondese: 1/13/2016 2:40:29 AMI still have the ones for my halo reach and halo 3 copies
-
I still have a bunch of pamphlets from old Xbox games I had. They're easier to store than all of the boxes (said boxes are in storage until I get a better way to display them).
-
Hell yes. I loved those.

I miss the note section
-
I still have the one for Halo 3...

1 ReplyI liked it when some just turned into posters or just added to the lore of the game.

1 ReplyEvery standard copy of witcher 3 came with a lore book, stickers, big map, and the soundtrack cd. It was like Christmas when I got it a while back

Digital manuals suck. So difficult to use.

I used the map that came with san andreas. It was soooo big back then

2 RepliesThe closest I got to them now are the Bio cards in the SteelCase for Halo 5 and Locke's kill orders.

1 ReplyEdited by DreadStorm95: 12/22/2015 5:00:59 PMYou can still get that stuff now in a sense. Deluxe and Collectors edition versions of games include all the trinkets. They're not necessarily game manuals, but they do come with booklets most of the time. I think they got rid of booklets in every case to focus thier resources on what I mentioned in the previous paragraph (Deluxe and Collectors).

1 ReplyEdited by ThatAmazingIdea: 12/22/2015 1:39:26 AMI wish they kept doing that, but I guess it's just another thing cut to save money. Now we get these mini cases... hell, I think my Destiny or Titanfall disc came with a advertisement for Battlefield 4 in it. Like seriously? For some reason I remember one quote from the original Halo 2 book. 'These Prophets have never been seen before by humans...' or something like that.

Edited by ands2: 12/21/2015 8:29:07 PMI miss them so much. I've heard people just take the disc and throw away the case, and that's a real shame, because, at least for older games, the case was such a big part of the game, in my opinion. If you look at Knights of the old republic's book, it's like 50 pages long of really cool and important stuff. I really miss that. Bump

1 ReplyAnd then San Andres had a thick ass book as well those were the days.. The games had way more quality back them there too greedy now these companies

I remember FFVII and gran turismo on PS1 had thick manuals that were more like textbooks - GT's was about 2 inches thick! Lol
