It gets irritating when literally everyone on my team has a 0.50 KDR and we lose by a couple hundred points.
I would honestly like to know why these types of people even play crucible, because it can't be very enjoyable having a negative KDR. Please stop playing cannon fodder and giving the enemy free kills.

Who cares it's team shottys. Either get a bigger backpack and carry harder or get a diary.
-
It's like this for every FPS game. I either play with friends or play FFA.
-
The real question is, why are you so good? Don't deviate from the norm.
-
if everyone on teh team has a .50 and you lose by a couple hundred points, that has to mean the other team is doing just as bad.
-
Because next to you no one can compare. Almighty crucible king. Please take us under your wing and teach is to be as godlike as you.

Edited by Elvick: 10/1/2014 9:08:18 AMI got a .2x one time... from just two players who constantly got me. Our team still won though. I quit for the day. :P I literally could not run into anyone else. Every time I'd spawn, I'd go around a corner and there one of them was. |: One was a bladedancer with the sprint buff and they just darted all over the place. (and at least twice the game spawned me right in their line of sight) I usually get a positive k/d too. I'm pretty good at the game, but sheesh. That game was awful. They could've just been having an off day, or kept running into players they couldn't beat, or getting ambushed (some people play in fireteams and wreck everyone with cooperation you can't have with randoms). Get over yourself. No it's not fun to lose really badly, especially when you're trying. But it's worse when someone has a bad attitude about it and doesn't let you just move on with it. Instead have them harp on it and call you bad and act like you shouldn't play at all. The game is a blast when teams are evenly matched. I've had matches in Capture where it's soooo close, and matches where my team is behind and we managed to overtake them. Those are great matches and a blast to play. But you don't always get that perfect melding of players to get a match like that. So deal with it or don't play it.

Not every one is brilliant at PVP, I'm terrible at it, but I try.
-
I play control mostly and go for the objective sometimes I get lucky and my team helps but other times I get stuck with a team who don't bother capping objectives. So long as we win I don't stress too much over kd, would like a team to play with ideally.

2 RepliesBecause people WANT to play Crucible?! Seriously, how else are they going to get better? When i started, i was terrible. But after a while, i got used to PvP and my K/D started to creep up. If you have a bad game, quit and find another lobby, dude. That's what I do.
-
well my games fluctuate a great deal... in bf4 I can run high k/d ratio's but in the crucible I go from highest to middle of the pack a lot between games and sometimes I will admit its because I've gotten irritated at something and I become reckless but others it seems as if all of a sudden lag or net code issues start to surround me and kill trades stop me cold over and over again. This makes me sensitive to others low scores... it must be hard to learn how to perform better if you run into problems like I have AND there are great players playing with you taking your kills or killing you over and over.
-
5 Repliescuz there is no punishment for being bad apart from getting one less crucible mark, I can run around like an idiot and still get a legandary engram, its pretty sad to be honest, my team lost, I came in last, and got a legendary, didnt feel right at all, what Im trying to say there is no motivation, I dont care about my k/d in objective based games, im the player in COD that will sacrifce myself for a capture for the team to win, while you have people sitting in a corner with a shotgun while the flag is being under run, cuz their precious k/d will be ruined here there is nothing for winning, give the winning team some sort of bonus and then people will start caring
-
4 Repliesidk why people are so bad either. I am not the best at PVP but i can handle it. I wish there would be a more skill-based matchmaking. I can drag a few noobs along with me through a control match but its impossible to win a 3v3 tdm game with noobs on your team. Thats what mostly annoys me but I can always switch to control or rumble and -blam!- people up there.
-
3 RepliesI hate PvP but when it's required for Crucible marks (to get faction items) and bounties (namely Exotic weapon bounties), I can't avoid it. Blame Bungie for not making a clearer separation between the PvE and PvP aspects of Destiny.
-
I wish my K/D was that low.
-
1 Replynoobs running round with shotgun and rocket launchers no thanx should be like halo all have same weapon if noobs gonna go round with shotguns all the time
-
Play rumble then you can kill everyone
-
2 RepliesBecause we are just trying to get void damage kills with weapons we are not used to using, damn you thorn
-
You either play long enough to realize it's made to be casual, and take advantage of the inherent imbalance that comes with a casual FPS game, or you do what you find fun and have a horrid K/D. Simple as
-
4 RepliesBecause its not a COMPETITIVE GAME. Games are more and more catered to the casual players that just don't care and honestly what's the point of doing good. You gain nothing from it. You get 1 less crucible mark and the way things are now better chances at legendary gear.
-
1 Reply'Cause they are all too busy staring at your sexy Titan! Now go get some crap armor so everyone will stop feeling the need to look at your fine robo-ass and they can focus on getting their murder on dammit!
-
1 ReplyBecause you're the best guardian ever! You're better than me and everyone I know. It's been a privilege to read something that you wrote! You're amazing!

I tend to agree with this in every game I play. Well FPS I play. Destiny would do so much better if it incorporated some sort of skill based matchmaking. With that being said though, everyone has off games/days. But I would prefer not to be matched up with 3 or 4 people that can't go positive to save their lives. In objective game modes it doesn't matter, but in modes where your k/d does those types of people should be matched up with people of their same skill level. Then everyone wins Well
unless your the type of person that likes to pub stomp
Edited by Webskull: 9/28/2014 9:04:58 PMThe people coming here and complaining about other people's KDR obviously came straight from CoD where they think KDR is as important as their own house. Just play the damn game and have fun, who gives a flying -blam!- how good your team mates are? You still get rewards at the end! Something is better than nothing.
-
People go into PvP for all kinds of reasons. Hang out with friends. It's fun. To see how PvP works in Destiny compared to other games. To complete bounties. Working to get better at PvP. To get gear / faction points / Queen's favor points. For the trophies. And, yes, some people go there to be trolls. Your mileage may vary. Since other peoples' playing skills (or apparent lack thereof) bother you to the point of starting a thread, consider joining a clan or starting one and only running with a clan.
