18 RepliesHalo is actually one of the most basic fps ever created. It's only the great story that gives it any relevance in today's gaming world. At least destiny has that customization. mild mmo feel and new school feel. Why do you think they created this game, because their winning ticket (Halo) has been suffering for a while so they needed a new winner and I reckon they found it honestly.

Halo 4 actually had a story, and a damn good one. Destiny was just lazy.

I honestly spent days staying up playing halo 4. Destiny I'd agree is better but IMO more of a let down and twice as frustration with that horrible loot system

Halo 4's campaign was the only excellent thing about it. Even with Destiny's lack of a cohesive story, lack of diverse locations, and the appearance of "RNGsus," it has great gameplay, lots of stuff to do, and a great PvP mode. I'm gonna have to go with the latter of the two.

Destiny had great gameplay... That's it. Halo 4 had an interesting story, a unique art style, unique gameplay and [u]balanced multiplayer[/u]. Nuff said.

Destiny. But not because of the storytelling. That's crap on both which is sad coming from Bungie. Destiny is better because of the mechanics, is potential, the music score, and the vistas.

32 RepliesDestiny just isn't that good. My main gripe with it personally is the enemies. They have too much health, and do too much damage but nothing else changes. A level 24 Thrall is visually identical too a level 2 Thrall and they both behave the same except one has ridiculous amounts of health and can kill you in seconds. In Halo a Grunt can be killed with 1 headshot on any difficulty. However certain Grunts were more dangerous. Black Spec Ops Grunts carried Fuel Rods which could 1 hit kill you. You can see what color it is and what weapon it has and react accordingly. In Destiny gameplay on higher levels just amounts to staying at a distance and spamming. No "30 seconds of fun" the enemies just have too much health for that.

Halo 4 was a 9/10 for me, serious. Amazing story, loads of content, great multiplayer. I loved it. Just a few niggles holding it back, which 343 seem to be addressing with Halo 5.

1 ReplyI like destiny, one thing bugs me... NO SPLIT-SCREEN PLAY... So now family game night is taking less priority... Unless of course you have you're of the families that has a console for each player in your household...
